doughty is a bit slow for an NFL safety, he's more of a backup/special teams type... though if he's a really hard worker he might be a somewhat passable starter...
Vernon Fox... a great surprisePages :

GoSkins! 11-29-2006, 06:49 AM At this point, Doughty is basically Archuletta. A hard hitting safety who excels against the run. Oh yeah... and he didn't cost 10 million... Jason72 11-29-2006, 08:33 AM Fox played well. Let's see if he can keep playing well. As far as AA standing next to coaches for the whole game, I am convinced they are dumping him in the offseason (no matter the cap hit) because they refuse to even try to use his strengths. Be Tuat 11-29-2006, 02:12 PM I'm not a big fan of AA, but the secondary did really well against Carolina. Does anyone here think, this is the result of Gray coaching both the cb and the safeties? AA could have been bad to start off but Steve Jackson's coaching must have made him worst. In anycase, Vernon Fox did a really good job. MonkFan4Life 11-29-2006, 02:17 PM Whatever they did in preparing for Carolina they should keep it up. dall-assblows 11-29-2006, 04:31 PM Whatever they did in preparing for Carolina they should keep it up. they got really really pissed off and wanted to kill their opponents Longtimefan 11-29-2006, 07:59 PM Vernon Fox has NFL experience, he's started quite a few games in other places. It remains to be seen how well he will fit in here, and if we have any long term plans for him. It will be nice if he can continue to make plays like the one he made in Sunday's game. I also observed some mistakes he made. |
