So how do you feel about people who get to the games late ?
I've seen games at Giants Stadium, Fed Ex, RFK, and old Veterans Stadium in Philly. Fed Ex is bar none, the most difficult stadium to get to. I actually left my tickets at home for the Cowboys game, and after realizing and turning back, I didn't get to my seat until Marshall tackled Jones for the safety midway through the first quarter, so I have more sympathy now for those arriving late.

Your situation is different since you forgot the tickets, but the problem there in general is people think they can head out right before the game and just roll right in. I live in North Jersey and get there by 10 AM every week. I light the grill and have a few beers while I watch the cars poor in. I have to leave the house at 6am every week. if I can get there early there is no reason why anyone should be late. It's just a matter of how big a priority the game is to you...

Okay I wondered. When I go to games I try to treat them as I would if I was home. When I'm home I watch the whole game win or lose and if I go of course I want to see the whole thing. I almost cry when they sing the National Anthem before the games, MAN THAT CHEERLEADER WAS CUTE, and she could sing pretty good. Was it me or did she mess up ? Anyway, It's wild when the game is starting and there are so many empty seats. But you have traffic, cleaning up after tailgating going on so you can see where it comes from. Luckily my sister works in an office with a couple S.T.H.'s and they'll give here their tickets from time to time.

Gotta love a Skins fan coming down from Giants country for home games!!! I agree that people just don't leave enough time. I'm from Northern VA, and usually give myself 3 hours, and that's without tailgating.

The game obviously means more to some than others, fans oftentime leave before conclusion when they prematurely feel the game is lost. We noticed from our section many people leaving, but we've witnessed it happen so many times before. For us, it's not over till it's over, we always stay to see what the end's going to be.

Yes, I am originally from Philly though. My wife is from NJ, that's why I am here now. My whole family is Eagles fans, yet somehow I grew up a Redskins fan. It started in 1976 as a 5 year old because I loved the color red and it grew from there. I put myself on the ticket waiting list in the mid 80's and got the call for tickets a few years ago.

Who cares, it's their money. They missed a hell'of'a finish and it's their loss.

Right, and it's not even about how good the game is either. People who leave early are going to leave regardless of how good or bad the game is. It's just what they do. I stay till the final gun even if it's a blowout...so leaving a good game early is somethign i can't even fathom. They are people who obviously don't like the team that much and would rather get home a few minutes sooner. Every stadium has these people...it's not like Fed Ex is the only one...maybe we have more of them but we also have more seats in the stadium.

True, but those kind of fans can damage our home field advantage a bit. If they are the type to leave early maybe they also are not even making any noise.

No a true Redskins fan never leaves his tickets at home. The only game which we were not in our seats by kick off was the first Dallas game after 9/11. We were in the parking lot by 11:00am but waited a little to long to head to the stadium and the lines where long due to security. If only die hard fans showed up to the game there would be about 20,000 empty seats ever game. It does not bother me when some people start to leave its their money and any support is better than none.
