70Chip 11-26-2006, 05:29 PM Dan Henning. It sure helps take the pressure off when they run on 3rd and Long multiple times.
But seriously, my game balls go to Betts, Golston, and Mcintosh with H.M to Taylor, Rogers, Springs, Fox, Holdman, Wright, and all the D-Linemen.
Redskin 11-26-2006, 06:30 PM Springs Rode Steve Smith like a freekin horse today and stopped the panthers leading play maker form really making a lot of good plays, o and Chris Cooley played good helping the rookie out
hooskins 11-26-2006, 07:16 PM ST almost gave the game away, and that kinda pissed me off with that punt thing. He really needs someone to yell at him or something. Also he was retarded for trying to run that INT out of the endzone. Why the hell risk a fumble when you have the game sealed up?
Gibbs said that they dont tell ST to do anything, they just let him play. That is what pisses me off about this organization. They need to stop babying these players and give them some punishment for making stupid mistakes.

If you don't want him picking up balls and trying to make a play we wouldn't have beaten Dallas this year, or Philly or Tampa Bay last year.
The guy is capable of picking up a ball and going the distance, that's the chance you take with a guy like him.

This is true, I just wish this team would be a bit harder on players, instead of just babying them. But at the same time, I guess we dont know what goes on behind closed doors, maybe they actually yell at players(beside Gibbs rant on Wenesday). Who knows.
JWsleep 11-26-2006, 08:03 PM ST ended the game with basically two turnovers. The fourth down tackle was sweet, and the INT sealed it. We need him playing like that--he needs to cut loose, even if at times he does something bone-headed. He best when he's got the swagger.
I thought that Williams re-vamped his schemes today, for the first time all year. We have lots of 7-8 in the box against the run, and much more press coverage with GOOD SAFETY HELP! It looked much more straight up from the front 7, and they responded. That little bit of pressure (and Golston, Carter, Griffen, and others were in the backfield all day) really changes the equation for the DBs. And they seemed to KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING back there. How weird is that? Even on plays where they gave up 1st downs, they weren't radically out of position, as we've seen all year. GW definetley changed something. Maybe JG had a little chat about EVERYONE needing to do better? ;)

I agree, ST pickin up a loose ball rather than falling on it is kind of like a b-ball player that can shoot a fade away. About any high school coach will tell you that if you're fading away you shouldn't be shooting, but Phil Jackson never told MJ to pass rather than shoot the fade away he developed in his last 4-5 years w/the bulls. Not that Taylor is the Jordan of the nfl, but he can & does make big plays when he touchs the ball.
dall-assblows 11-26-2006, 10:19 PM i want sean taylor to get a big hit on Vick. that would make my day!
