Did Gibbs take over play calling in the second half?

Gibbs stopped calling plays for one reason. He knows that, physically, he can't do what it takes to run the offense effecively (at least for much longer). He did the best thing, long term, for teh team. Bring in a proven offensive coordinator with a similar pedigree to run the offense.

It sucks that we lost out this year, but if our defense was playing like it was last year, we would still be looking at getting into the playoffs about the time the offense is really coming together.

I don't remember exactly when, but Campbell said in his interview that he couldn't hear "Saunders play". Sounds like Saunders is calling a Gibbs style gameplan to me!

If you watch the post game, you'll see Gibbs explains that Campbell's headset went out in his helmet. Possibly....:) maybe Jason thinks Al's calls suck and he took it upon himself. We won. Yeah there were calls for and against, but the lame ass calls as expected went heavily against us. Hockely can eat caca. Whether JC's headset went out or not Saunders play calling has been garbage. If we wanted predictable and expectable play calling we should have stuck with Gibbs. Saunders was supposed to bring something NEW. Fire Saunders or give him a subordinate job. Gibbs should be calling the plays. Call the plays from the sideline and not in a booth.

Remember how we all heard that Saunders never calls the same play within a four game span when we first signed him? So then why does it seem like we tend to run the same two or three plays on first down 80% of the time?
The same can be said the the Randle El reverse that we run at least once a game (it went for -5 yards yesterday).

who knew we were good at running down the middle? oh yeah, everyone not named al saunders. tough line to run at, but they got it done, and the defense let them stay in their game plan. the whole thing reeked of joe gibbs, which is a good thing, since i thought he'd been too passive on way too many fronts. he knows offense, he knows coaching, and he needs to be involved instead of watching from the bleachers. today he was involved, and it showed.

The plays are called in by one of the assistant coaches not Saunders. Jason herd about half of the play when his head set cut off. He just thought of the plays that started with the half he heard and plug in the rest for the situation and the D they where playing.
