I think that a lot of is has to do with intangibles like team chemistry, leadership and attitude. For whatever reason, the Redskins obviously lack in all three categories whereas the 49ers (and Saints for that matter) have them and are starting to achieve. Also, what does it say about the impact that Carter and lloyd have on their team?I think it has a lot more to do with the schedules than with intangibles.

Give the Niners some credit though. They've won ALL the games they should had won up until this week, when they didn't put it away. This is at least a 7 win team, and if they get to 9, it could be good enough for the division if they beat Seattle.

success in the NFL is all about winning the games you are supposed to.

I agree. I'm very excited about our chances next year but this year we would just get destroyed in the playoffs if we were to somehow get in.

San Fran is 2-3 players away from making a Super Bowl run in my opinion. Frank Gore is a bad ass, and they are making a run without Vernon Davis who will be a stud. The Niners need some help on D, and they are set. Norv has set up his Dallas offense with Gore, Davis, and Bryant playing Emmet, can't remember their solid TE, and Ervin. I really like the Niners chances the next 2-3 years.

Would that be 2-3 first ballot hall-of-famers away? You are joking right? They 3rd best in their division in the weakest conference. Super Bowl???? Bryant hasn't had a good game in weeks and Davis until this week hadn't recorded a catch since week one.

Fyi...the all time leading rusher is Emmitt Smith who played for Norv.

I don't know what you were getting at with the Emmitt stat. And wasn't Vernon Davis hurt and inactive for all but the first game until this week?

If the guy is going to compare Frank Gore to Emmitt Smith (which is ridiculous) at least spell the all time leading rusher's name right.

No, he was active in weeks 1, 2, 3, 11, and 12. What else would you like to know, Tafkas.

I stand corrected. I thought he was inactive

You were looking at the stats, which would make it seem that he only played 2 weeks. Not exactly comparable to Jay Novacek...

I thought he had been out for about two months. Ah well
