I haven't seen him look so pissed in a long time. He was saying that the team wasn't living up to Redskins football principles, i.e. not running effectively and allowing the other team to run on us. I think this will be the beginning of more changes. I think that he's been taking a back seat, allowing Saunders to run the offense, following bad advice from the front office about free agents. I am hoping that this is the beginning of more accountability from our players and coaches.

Yup, he was definately steamed. The defense was dreadful and we couldn't run the ball - those are the two key elements of any team, particularly one coached by Gibbs.

I said it in another thread, I think he was calling out Saunders and GW a bit today. Anyone else get that feeling?

I noticed he was really pissed about the defense, but I didn't notice him mentioning the playcalling on offense. I might have missed it though.

I agee 100% you could hear the tone of his voice change when he talked about the defense.

It's almost like he was saying "Ok Al, I made the change at QB you've got your guy now." Now he's turning his attention to Williams and saying "so what the hell is your issue?"

No he didn't mention it specifically, but he kept referring to the principles of Redskins football... running the ball and stopping the run.

I for one am glad to see him show some anger. He didn't stand by his old b.s. rhetoric, "fighting guts out", etc. It was refreshing. Now that he doesn't have to defend Brunell, I think he's freed up to be more honest about the team.

Well, let's see...

--Thinking that Cornelius Griffin can anchor the line and stop the run all by himself for the third straight year without missing a beat?

--Relying on Joe Salave'a, a guy who was out of football for more than a year, who's had a history of injuries, who was probably best suited as rotation at best, but is now a full time defensive tackle?

--Keeping rejects and castoffs like Renaldo Wynn and Philip Daniels around because they're such great leaders?

--Hoping that 6th and 7th round picks like Cedric Golston and Montegomery can fill in and stuff the run when this front office hasn't had any success at drafting anybody who's been worth a damn in the 6th and 7th round?

How's that for starters? And I didn't even mention Arch, Rogers, Holdman, McIntosh and Andre Carter!
