Who gave Campbell a C and who gave him a D?
Has to be Mark Brunell.
Has to be Mark Brunell.
Grade Jason CampbellCitizens for 81 11-19-2006, 09:15 PM Who gave Campbell a C and who gave him a D? Has to be Mark Brunell. GoSkins! 11-19-2006, 09:33 PM I was going to give him a B, but that pass to Thrash he made while under big time pressure gives him the plus. 1st start, trying to make a comeback, no INT. For a first start that says a lot. He had some under throws and over throws that cost him an A, but considering he has had about 5 practice days with these guys he did extremely well. The season is lost, but we now have something (someone) good to watch! MTK 11-19-2006, 09:42 PM The question should be what was there not to like about JC today. I think he did everything we could have realistically expected him to do, and maybe then some. He looks so calm and poised out there, that's what impresses me the most. Jason72 11-19-2006, 09:49 PM In his first game as a pro he was a small upgrade over 2006 Mark Brunell. While I'm sure there will be some rough outings in the future, he's going to get allot better. Imagine if he had a healthy Portis and Moss! Sheriff Gonna Getcha 11-19-2006, 09:51 PM I'd still like to know who gave him a D and a C. SmootSmack 11-19-2006, 10:01 PM I'd still like to know who gave him a D and a C. Vaquero? Sandtrapjack? Giantone? memphisskin 11-19-2006, 10:03 PM JC gets an A from me. His first start looked a lot more promising than anything I've seen in a while. I could see him adjusting, like when he bounced a comeback in to Lloyd and then threw high the next time (almost killing Lloyd in the process). He wasn't perfect, but considering the talk on this board was that he was going to throw for 150, two picks and no tds I'd say he was damn close. I love whoever gave the kid a D. I bet it's the same guy who called the Venus de Milo some crap because it had no arms. Redskins_P 11-19-2006, 10:04 PM Another key note on Campbells performance, he completed his passes to 7 different receivers. At least he's spreading the ball out. JoeRedskin 11-19-2006, 10:25 PM Didn't see all of it. But I did see some nice escapablility and an a good arm. He also seemed to make some good choices. All in all, for a first start - very nice. GTripp0012 11-19-2006, 10:30 PM He did his part to put us in position to win the game. On the Mark Brunell scale, that's a D (sorry, couldn't resist). A+/B-, he earned it. But seriously, I think I'm being a bit generous, maybe overanalyzing the conditions (he certainly didn't have A level production, not even close). If you gave him an A, you must have loved the job Brunell did, or just are horribly biased. |
