If we are looking at the average Brunell game, or the expectation for him, why on earth would you look at the Eagle game (our worst game this year as a team, bar none)? Everyone was horrible. Campbell would have been awful in that game too. Just add it to Brunell's season average and move on.

Campbell's Yards/Attempt Sunday was more than a yard below Brunell's season average. If he completes the pass to Lloyd, it would be very close...but drops/nice defensive plays don't count on Brunell's stats either.

Campbell did very well, all things considered. But just looking at the TB game and nothing but the TB game, I think Brunell would have done better. Good enough to overcome the defense? I doubt it, in which case we made the right move with the QB change.

so a small sample set is fine with campbell, but not brunell? should we compare this to brunell's last game against the bucs, since it's more apples to apples? cause that makes him look SO much better.

Well, he's gotta play with the deck he's been handed. A lot of things have gone wrong for us this year, maybe the least of which is receiver play, but Randle El and Lloyd and even Cooley have dropped some balls this year, for both quarterbacks now.

We were promised a mystical "spark" this week to help our receivers hands not be so hard, and help them try harder...but I guess that didn't happen.

Cooley didn't drop the TD pass he improvised and came back to Campbell for. that ball would've been in the stands if it were Mark. same with the clutch 3rd down pass to Thrash. they stayed trying to make the play instead of expecting a throw out of bounds once the play broke down. i'd call that a spark, and thats why we're talking about JC like this today.

i also don't see any 'statistical' reason for you to assume that Campbell would've been just as bad or worse than Mark was in Philly.

Campbell did provide a spark, and I really liked what I saw of him. good move for the QB switch. Definately a bright spot in a VERY DARK season. However, in spite of it, we did not win the game. Because................neither Campbell, nor Brunell play D

No shit....that ball would have been 15 rows in the stands had that been Markie Mark...

You can't make any generalization with that, but you can say that he was either better or worse than what you'd expect if Brunell started.

A small sample set is never a good thing, but in the case of Campbell, it's all you have.

Yes, talking out of your ass does waste time.

i thought jason did really well for himself on his first start he's gonna be a good one...now the question is does the redskins organization have the patience to let him mature into a fully well rounded starter?
