Like others I think Marshall is a good lb but is out of position for someone of his size. McIntosh is playing great on ST while Holdman has become an absolute shell of himself so I don't know why we haven't seen him in more. As far as the AA situation, I think the saddest part about how quickly he's fallen from grace with the coaching staff is that when Vincent needed a rest, it wasn't AA taking his spot, but instead it was Vernon Fox most of the time. This defense is acting like the defense of 5-6 years ago and needs more pieces than it should after how successful it has been the last couple years.

Our lineback core consists of Marcus Washington, "Worthless", and "Useless" (referring to Lamar Marshall and Warrick Holdman not necessarily in that order). Holdman is a reject from the Browns. Nuff said. Marshall was most effective as a situational linebacker for pass coverage. He doesn't seem to have the strength or skills to play run or blitz. This would also add support to why Williams is so hesitant to blitz this year.

That's what happens when instead of letting a defense gel and keeping its leaders, you perpetually try to get superstars for the team. Ryan Clark has freed up Troy Polamalu in Pittsburgh...I've been saying this all season...why did they let him walk. They could have signed him for 1/3 of what Archuleta (the current highest paid saftey in the NFL) and signed a kicker. I still like the Carter get, but I think they need someone else on the line who can play to play to free him up. He's not the dominant pass rusher the Skins (and I) hoped he would be. However, I don't think it's a total loss. Did they overpay? You're damn right they did, but who didn't they pay more than market value for?

I think Vincent is a great ballplayer. However, does anyone think he plays just like Clark did?

Marshall was the worst player on the field today! I have no idea if it's his fault.

You can't blame a single player. Our front 4 plays like shit which translates to the LBs playing like shit, which in turn results in the DB playing like shit. This team has packed it in.

Agreed. The line was horrible and has been all year. Goldston was getting blown off the ball all day. I think the olny two players that I would keep on our front 7 is M. Washington and C. Griffin. Yes Marshall had a bad game but it starts w/ the line. Grad. doesn't even need to wash his jersey. Same old with A Carter. He played real bad today.

You like Carter? May I ask what in the world do you like about him? He gets no pass rush and get killed against the run. Other than that he's fine.

There's a pretty nice free agent class for LB's. Can anyone say LONDON FLETCHER..lol he's gonna be like 32 or something but he's never missed a game and is very solid. Personally i'd like to see us go after C. June.

I liked him in San Fran. Not so much what he's done here. He doesn't look like the same player here. He looks like he's thinking about the game too much. Not just playing. I've been really disappointed. I still think if he were on the other side of a really good pass rusher he could make plays. I don't think he's made to be a #1 Defensive linemen. When he was in Frisco you had Bryant Young as the dominant guy and Carter flying under the radar and making plays. I think he could do that in Washington too. That's just my opinion, I could be totally wrong.

As for blowing up the front 7, that's a horrible idea. While they may not be great, adding 5 new starters would kill that front (not that there is much to kill, but it would destroy whatever chemsity they have/are building). They would play about the same way next year that they are right now. They'd all have to get reacclumated to each other. It's just not feasible
