I think Vince would roll over in his grave if he knew people were spelling his last name Lumbardi, and not Lombardi

If you can erase in your mind what Gibbs has done previously for us, and forget he's a 3 time SB champ, then how would you judge and rate him as a coach? I doubt there's one person here who would not be calling for his head on a silver platter!

As far as Gibbs moving into the front office? That scares me considering it seems personel decisions at least when it comes to players is scary.
I totally disagree. Let's say a nameless coach takes over a team in shambles, left bare by the previous nimrod. In addition this franchise has been down for as decade. A new guy comes in, acquires a bunch of new players and takes this loser team deep into the playoffs in just the second season. Everyone thinks what a great job he has done right?

Year three comes, and a few parts of the team unexpectedly fail, star RB gets a fluke injury and is never right, QB has trouble in a new system, and defense unexpectedly struggles. Team takes a step back.

You are saying in any other city this coach would be fired after one off year? No way. This is what Snyder would have done in the early years, but franchises that operate that knee jerk are usually perpetual losers.

Really? That's not saying much, Both were fired, Norv did make the playoffs one year and then fired the next because the team was going backwards, sound familar?

schotty went 8-8 and got fired, and he didn't need to overspend like crazy for some good players and a bunch of bad ones too.
