A place that lists who will be a free agent next year, UDF, RFA, etc? If so, where can I find them?

I usually put those excel sheets (free agents/draft prospects: looked like this: http://www.thewarpath.net/NFL2005FREEAGENTS-updated.htm) together around mid-late February, after the season is over.

I didn't last year because I had some personal things going on and I've since delegated the task to That Guy

wow, that's first heard of this "delegation" ;)

an incomplete lists is already in one thread, but i can relist them in excel or something if you want... i'd think cbs or fox would have a current list already though.

i'll go ahead and get up some free agents, cap analysis (how much space do we have and how much can we make), and basic draft stuff sometime this week if no one else gets to it before then.

btw, it really is too bad GB re-signed aaron kampman so quickly. I thought he was the best FA available last year (above everyone besides except maybe wayne), and for 5mill a year, he's running circles around carter :(.

I eyeballed the cap sheet. If Danny has an itch, he can really scratch it without giving up any of our stars. (That is without re-structuring anyone which I am sure will happen)

Personally, I am hoping that we just bang away at quality depth for reasonable prices.

Yeah I meant to officially tell you around playoff time...surprise! You don't have to do it if you don't want to. Just figured since you sort of had last year you might not mind continuing it

nah, i'll do it, i mean, i keep track of that stuff anyways. I can't do the full draft coverage until the combine is done and i can see where the other teams are and what they're looking for though. I mean, i got the top 800 prospects, the top 300 of which have full bios and the ncaa site lists full stats on all of them, but the measureables aren't official and espn etc don't show player highlight packages side by side until much later on... unless you know a guy that can get me player game reels ;)

oh yeah, and the rankings outside round 1 and 2 aren't very good yet... i mean, some places still have josh wilson going in the 5th round. I think we might see him jump into the 2nd or 3rd very quickly, among others (ie last year whitehurst went from the 5th (way too low) to the 2nd (too high) basicaly because of his senior bowl performance).

as for RFA/UFA and cap numbers, once i get the time i'll get what i can find up. i can project estimated contract values sometime later, but those will probably be way off anyways ;).

I hear that. the trouble is generally when the backloaded parts start to hit (~2009) that it'll get messier. We will need to sign at least one big FA at CB or DE, and take a look at whether we need an OL replacement, which aren't cheap (if you want quality).

is anyone not named nate clements out there?

yeah, but he and freeney are the biggest names, and freeney's got a GM that doesn't like letting good players get away, so that's not happening.
