Who will be JC's favorite receiver??PWNED 11-14-2006, 04:50 PM honestly ill TAKE a quick slant. those are going for decent yardage and theyd go even further if brunell could hit them in STRIDE. Redskins_P 11-14-2006, 04:54 PM I think right now the most important pass will be the quick slant/dump off. Teams are going to be blitzing the hell out of JC, and he's got to hit his hot routes. So far I haven't been impressed by the play calling by Saunders. We need more than a Betts swing under pressure, and hopefully Campbell has a new gameplan. JC's fav, will be Cooley. I also think they'll do a little more playaction/rollouts where he can dump it off to Sellers or Cooley. Campbell was really good at throwing on the run (at least in college he was). I imagine that this is the week where we go back to Gibbs smashmouth type football....pound the rock and mix in some playaction.....to keep the pressure off JC Pocket$ $traight 11-14-2006, 07:06 PM How about the guy with the team receiving record. Seems like a decent choice. Warpath 11-14-2006, 07:44 PM I think early on someone like a James Thrash who always knows where to be is a young QB's best friend/fave receiver I'll take Thrash to, unless he doesn't make it onto the field on Offense, then I'll take Cooley. Longtimefan 11-14-2006, 08:08 PM Whoever the hell is open for god's sake. That's how a favorite target becomes a favorite, by getting open, and making plays. For a young QB starting his first game in the NFL to go into a game thinking about a favorite target would be odd, one will have to emerge. BrunellMVP? 11-14-2006, 08:22 PM Cooley...he can get open and has good hands...and will be a good safety valve. if i must pick a WR, moss is the easy choice... That Guy 11-14-2006, 08:23 PM good thread ;) it's probably going to be moss, simply because he's so clearly above the rest of the WR corp. cooley and thrash should help him settle in though. MTK 11-14-2006, 08:29 PM Pick a guy, any guy, as long as it's not a RB on a swing pass. VTSkins897 11-14-2006, 08:33 PM i pick moss, my favorite 'skin Longtimefan 11-14-2006, 08:39 PM i pick moss, my favorite 'skin He emerged as Brunell's favorite. |
