I'm extremely elated. This is certainly the move I have thought was called for. I don't expect miracles from Jason, but maybe we can see a QB who will drop back, plant, and throw the football, enabling the offense to operate in a more fluid rythm. It's going to be a growing process, but I'll have more patience with a young QB making mistakes than an old vet whose time has come.

I dunno. On the one hand, Gibbs will likely want to ease him into the position. On the other hand, JC is known for his accuracy on the deep ball so Gibbs might be tempted to exploit that talent.

The thing that Cambell will give them is the opportunity to throw short/mid/and deep anywhere on the field. He will also be able to scramble for 2 yards if need be.

The real question is what happens if Campbell plays well and wins. Then the coaches look like idiots for waiting this long.

Lack of defense is still a big problem!

I'm glad and have called for this for a while.
JC is ready and will play well and let's hope many other guys folks step up a few notches.

It would be so great to hear the PA announcer say in two weeks

"...and at quarterback.......from Auburn.....#17....JASON CAMPBELL and hear the roar of the crowd. That will make Fed Ex so loud and it will continue for the whole game. We could be looking at a real home feild advantage for once.

But first....Campbell gets some of TB. This is going to be fun to watch.

Gibbs just couldn't stop all the voices. or the mounting whispers around him.

seeing Clinton Portis there broken basically summed up this year. the spirit of the team was broken. something just absolutely had to change.

if JC plays terribly, i bet he'll still be cheered like crazy. it's all about looking ahead now. huge fundamental shift.
