Good for Jason. But let me ask this. A rookie QB, without Portis-am I the only one who thinks next week (the next few weeks in fact) will be a very scaled back basic offense with, yes, a lot of short passes?
Scaled back, yes. But that doesn't mean short passes necessarily. It may mean more turnovers, but at least we get to see what we've got in Campbell. This is exciting, but it's the only trick Gibbs has left in his bag.
Campbell starting, and Duckett in line for more carries, if we weren't 3-6 I'd be jumping for joy.

yeah, campbell is gonna struggle, he's no rothlisburger. Peyton threw many many interceptions his first year, and rivers has tomlinson. Those are rare exceptions, but we have more of a team foundation than certain teams that threw their rookies out there like the niners and texans, we actually have a respectable O-line.

Without Portis, with this D, and with this playcalling, I see Campbell having a bad outing in TB (180 yards, 1 TD, 3 INTs). Nonetheless, I'm happy.
Hopefully some of those 3 INT's will be balls that he threw DOWNFIELD!

Scaled back offense? Are you guys out of your mind?
We were limited to 5-10 yard passes on one side of the field with #8.
Has anyone watched the first nine games this year?

He might have talent, but so does the rest of the team - which apparently means nothing...
To me Brunell had the support but not the trust of the team. The D knew he was only in for three downs and played like they gave the same effort.
That will change with JC coming in.

Yup.
Very happy to hear the news. Time to see what Campbell can do, I was a little nervous that Gibbs was going to turn to Collins, good to see he hasn't completely lost his head.

Campbell will take more shots downfield, but don't expect him to be coming out firing bombs just yet. Gibbs will work with him slowly.

I dunno. On the one hand, Gibbs will likely want to ease him into the position. On the other hand, JC is known for his accuracy on the deep ball so Gibbs might be tempted to exploit that talent.
