That happened 8 to 10 years ago?
The league has changed.
Trent went to the Rams in what, 98 or 99? Injured that year went to KC the next year (I think.) It hasn't been that long ago.

and Collins has been a backup since 1918. what's your point? Campbell hasn't even had regular PRACTICE with the first team yet. he's even behind for a backup.
I'm just answering your questions...what is your point with Collins. We weren't talking about Collins.

Oh, Rivers was born in '81, so that makes him around 25 or 26.
edit: Will have a birthday in December, so he will turn 25. One year younger than Campbell... not really much to argue about.
you certainly thought it was worth arguing about before. even if they were the same age, do you think no.3 w/o one NFL snap and season starter are comparable?
Campbell hasn't even had regular PRACTICE with the first team yet.
Not sure where you're getting that info, he took the majority of the snaps with the first team during the bye, and in camp he got some work with the first team as well.

I think the point is, if Campbell is our future, and our seaon is lost already, we need to know what he is capable of. The only way we will really know that is if he has a chance to play.

I would feel like someone hit me in the face with a shovel...this can't be serious...if they start collins, its as if they're throwing darts at a board as a decision making process

You started the argument about the age. I'm just providing you the answers in comparison that Rivers had to sit the bench for two seasons before he had became a starter, and in comparison there was not that big of an age difference between the two.

Someone else asked about Rivers...I asked about Rippen.
