Went to my first game in 1997 when Jack Kent Cooke stadium opened and loved them ever since. Season tickets have been in my family since the 70's and we all root together. I live to go to the home games and my schedule revolves around the Redskins. When I get home everyday I come to this site to discuss the Skins. I have basically only own Skins clothing for when I go out. I LOVE THE REDSKINS!!! I will always root for my team no matter what and I will always look down on those who seem to stray away when the going gets tough. It's times like these we need to come together and show who we really are. We need to be there for our team as they finish this season strong. We all want the best for our boys and at this point, hope is going to get us through this season as the team goes through a real identity crisis. HAIL ALWAYS!!

hey...atleast we're not cardinals fans right? There's hope that we'll get better, and a past to fall back on.

I started watching back in '79.
I don't have the same feelings for the NFL as I did back then, the game has changed and not for the better. Society has changed, and not for the better.
The Redskins have changed......certainly not for the better. Gibbs coming back gave me a false hope that we'd have our Camelot again.
There was a team pride that I don't think people have any more. It's all about the $$$ now.

It means that I've come to the realization I've thrown away another $2,500 (on season tickets and parking passes) to watch the Redskins lose game after game.
It means I can be angry at the team when they run foolish plays, while having the faith that they'll do better the following week. It means that I can build my hopes up that "they'll win this game," only to be let down when they don't play as if football is in their blood!
It means that I can cheer for players like Portis, Moss, Washington and a few others who's love playing the game! For they are the reason I'm a Redskins fan!
It means my desire for the team will be the reason I will spend another $2,500 (plus D. Snyders inflation) in hopes that they'll play with the talent I know they're capable of exposing next year!

The Redskins and all of the B&G family embody the area I grew up in, and remember. There is great history here, comradarie, and great experiences. Great players, past and present, great championships, and great dispair.
But there is always FB and guys talking! Man Law.

This season? Agony and emotional abuse of the worst kind.

Lots of great memories and more great memories still to come. Sundays growing up was more than just gameday. It was an event. Family and friends gathered round to root for an entire organization.
Without what Gibbs did for this team in the 1980s I don't know that I become that big a fan. I don't know that Matty does either. Without Gibbs is there a TheWarpath.net?

Nope! Gibbs is the #1 reason I became a Redskins fan! Of course coaching guys like an Art Monk or a Darrell Green certainly helped as well.

amen to that...I think its harder for us younger fans sometimes. I've never seen the redskins go beyond the second round of the playoffs. I vaguely remember the 91 playoff game against the falcons where everyone started throwing seat cushions onto the field...still, just gotta keep believing. I will say this though. That very same grandpa that passed his redskins love down to me is getting quite old. I talked to him today after the game, and he said, "they better get it together, I keep saying next year, but I don't even know if there will be a next year for me." It was depressing, and it made me think about what this team means to some people.
I still have two seat cushions from the Atlanta playoff win http://www.thewarpath.net/images/icons/icon12.gif
