Lurking around a cowboys forum, I came upon a link to this blog, and this article comparing the situation of both QBs. Surprisingly this Boys fan seems to understand why Campbell didnt come in, better than most Skins fans
Yakuza Rich Dallas Cowboys Blog: Romo vs. Campbell – Different Circumstances Make for Different Choices (http://yakuzarich.blogspot.com/2006/10/romo-vs-campbell-different.html)
His other stuff is pretty good too, doesnt seem to be bias.

This is like asking the guy on the corner with the cup and the sign how to run a Fortune 500 business.
He's a Cow-Whores fan.
Just from reading the title he has a point, different circumstances make for different choices.

When I rule the World (not long now) all Cow-Whores fans will be kept on a gimp leash and only allowed out on game-day.

Exactly Matty, for those of you that are too lazy or ignorant to read, the article basically says that Romo has been with the team for 4 years. He already knows the system.
Campbell is with the 6th different offense since his first year in Auburn. Gibbs wants him to sit an extra year, bc his learning curve is higher.
Yeah Campbell was first rounder, but at the same time, 4 years of being in one system has huge benefits. If we put in Campbell in a must win situation, it might shatter his confidence, the confidence of the fans, and the city. That is why you keep him aside, until the season is pretty much over.
RR, the whole point of me posting this blog, was that this fan(whatever you may think about him) has it right. It is almost sad that most fans here dont realize that, but a Cowboys fan does....

So Campbell has been in a different scheme in ever year he's played Football since college.
He's a high draft pick, obviously not stupid, has the physical skills we need, has the support of the team and fans.
I think it's the right choice long-term.
I was kidding about the boys fan. Should I have gone with the purple (J/K) font?

Yeah, the purple would have done it.

very good read, especially considering where it came from. everyone on this board that wants Campbell now should probably read this. with that being said, i still want to see Campbell if the skins get eliminated early

I agree with you too Dmek, but it is crucial that Campbell comes in after the season is officially lost(yeah I am changing my opinion from what I had in the previous weeks). That way he comes into a no pressure situation, which I feel would be the best for his development.

He speaks the truth even if he is a Cowboys fan.
