For the excitement I'd play KR/PR or even RB but if I had to pick right now, knowing what I know, I'd go with Kicker. No pain, career longevity, greater "hero of the game" potential, decent paycheck and if you're good enough you're not out of a job for long.

Dude, you are spot on. Chase and Graham ... the two QBs I played with through the years ... both were collar poppers, and total prima donnas.

I played football in Texas too, so the competition was very tough. I played DB and WR, but I was only average. DB was probably the best, because it was very challenging. However, if I could choose, I would choose safety. You get to hit and cover. Such a nice balance -- not much glory though.

HA! Awesome, Graham is without a doubt a douchebag QB name. Not that anything is wrong with any of the aforementioned names (except Colin, I've never met a Colin I liked) unless you happen to be a QB.

And yes, they ALL were collar poppers. For some reason you never have a "Good Ol' Boy" QB.

I went to high school with a guy named Graham Manley, and he was a man-beast. 2x state champion wrestler (he was a heavy weight who only weighed about 220 even though he mainly wrestled guys who were closer to 280), and he was an all-met football player in HS. I think he was eventually a captain for syracus' football team.
I guess he was the Graham expection.

If his last name wasn't Manley, he probably wouldn't be an exception. ;)

Out of ALL the positions I played, kickoff team was the most fun. If you're fast enough you are sprinting full speed by the time the poor front line of kick return turns around. You can blind side the SHIT out of people on that.

I playd ST's kickoffs and punts when I was a freshman and thats the absolute worst I ever hit anybody.... and it was every time... huge collisions running full force and just slaughtering someone... hell yeah I miss that.

I would have to play DE. The game is won and lost in the trenches, and its fun talking smack to the fat boys
