This is such a frustrating season. The Redskins have so much potential but I hate to admit that much of that talent is being mis-managed. T. J. Duckett is a prime example. It makes no sense to me to have Duckett and not use him. I'm not buying any of the excuses. The best running back rotation would be to have Portis as your primary back, Betts as your third down or receiving back, and Duckett as your red zone specialist. It worked wonderfully for Atlanta, why can't it work in Washington. What a waste. It would be as bad if the Skins hadn't given up a third round pick for next year. Just DUMB!

Thats why we shouldn't have totally exchanged last year's playbook for Al's 700 pages. There were money plays like that that Brunell could still be running.
i have no doubt that saunder's system will work, however, i do think we are a couple of years (at least this one) from seeing its merit.

We should have lined up in the I-formation with Sellers(278lbs) @ full back and TJ(254lbs) @ tail back. Now that's a huge goal line package! What happened to Smash Mouth football? Damn Saunders, were you drunk in the press box?

"Smash Mouth Football" is buried somewhere in the 700-page playbook. Nobody can find it yet though. Too many pages.

fuck that. where's Sellers?

last year, Big Mike would've CAUGHT that 4th and 1 at the goaline. he was a lock. had like 4 TDs

Actually he had 7 TDs receiving and 1 rushing.

Did anyone see the Al Saunders interview on Comcast this morning? Saunders was asked this very question and said the Clinton got the ball because he was the # 1 back. Then he said something like "it didn't work so we'll go in a different direction next time". I wonder if he meant Duckett, or just the play calling.

I heard Gibbs told Portis something like "You're our guy so we'll give you every opportunity to score the TD, but if we continue to get stopped on goal line rushes we need to give it to TJ in those situations"

or something like that

That would be the type of "managing" that I would expect Gibbs to do...
