there is no way a first rounder would wait 2-3 from now to get an opportunity to play. I doubt young JC will be will ing to not start next year...if he comes into camp next year without it being his job to lose, i think he demands to be traded.
i would.

Fox Pregame said that Gibbs said Campbell would be ready to start in 2-3 years
Which to me either proves he royally fucked up getting Campbell, or he thinks Brunell will be around that long. Either way, if this proves true I won't be happy.
It proves only that fox pre-game is innacurate. I want to see in paper where Gibbs said that. I don't buy it.

I'm guessing next season JC will be taking over the reigns. If he's not at that point, then we can start worrying about Campbell or bust.

BRUNELL HAS A HOT HAND

he is having his best season as a pro in all 4 major categories. dont believe me? look it up

I know MB is having his best season (stats-wise) as a pro. That said the only stat that counts is the record and this team is down low in that stat. Most of MBs stats are padded dink passes (especially from the Hou game).

If JC was ready and looked good in practice he'd be playing. Gibbs says they are playing the QB that gives them the best chance to win and he does not think JC is that man. If Gibbs thought for a minute JC gave the team a better chance to win he'd play him but he doesnt so JC sits.

I dont know if JC is good or bad (I'm not watching practice) but Gibbs et al do watch and so far he has shown them he's not ready yet. Like I said, lots of less experienced QBs have shown enough to become starters ahead of shakey vets, JC aint one of them.

Joe Gibbs has never said Jason Campbell is not ready to play, as a matter of fact it's quite the contrary. The last time the question was put to Gibbs he said they think the world of Jason Campbell, and also said he thinks he can win games for us now. Where this idea that Campbell is not ready came from I have no idea, but it's pure conjecture and time to be laid to rest. No one in the Redskins organization has made that statement. The only reason he's not playing is because Gibbs is enamoured with Brunell and will not make a change until he absolutely has too, and knowing Gibbs, we understand that whether we like it/accept it or not.

I like it. Another high-priced signing of an injury prone, inconsistent QB. He'd fit right in.

I don't want Leftwich. Not just because of Campbell either. Byron's a great athlete but he's fragile! He's ALWAYS getting hurt.
I wouldn't characterize Leftwich as a great athlete, he's a tall, accurate passer in the mold of a young Drew Bledsoe. He has far less mobility than even Brunell at this stage, so you had better resurrect the old Hogs if you're planning on putting a statue behind center. Campbell brings far more to the table in terms of raw athleticism. I say give the kid a chance before bringing in yet another vet. Gibbs's handling of the QB situation since his return leaves ALOT to be desired.

Go ahead and sign Leftwich. All the Skins need is another over-rated, over-priced free agent that will finally play his way to the bench. Has anyone noticed how the Adam Achuletta experiment has failed. Troy Vincent has only been with the team a few weeks and he has already taken over Arch's starting job and relegated Arch to team specialist (suicide squad and situational quasi-linebacker-safety). Oh, and by the way, throw in a few draft picks, the Skins don't need those either.

HAS ANYONE SEEN T.J. DUCKETT LATELY?

Where was he when the Skins floundered 8 goal line attempts?

2-3 years is just stupid. Let's face it. Gibbs still has not adjusted to today's NFL. In today's NFL YOU DO NOT GIVE UP 2 #1 PICKS ON A QB AND SIT HIM FOR TWO YEARS. That is why the team sucks. Two number one's invested on someone who is on the bench. Along with two #2's on Rocky M. But who's counting?
