BrunellMVP?

I think that would be the craziest thing ever for Leftwhich to replace Brunell again. It wont happen though. I will officially call Gibbs a retard if something like that happens. The only way it happens is if the start playing Campbell and he shows a complete inability to function. Then maybe they find a vet to come in. I wonder if this is Brunell's last year?
i think its been written in stone that this is Brunell's last year. Can you reasonably expect Campbell to remain content for another year on the pine? we bench him another year, and he will depart as soon as his contract allows...
as for leftwich, i'm a fan of his arm, but do we really need a QB that moves slower than Brunell?

Based on what?
I know that some people think that because he's sat for a year and a half that must mean he's garbage, but Gibbs is known for bringing his QBs along pretty slowly, so it's really not that much of a surprise.
i agree with matty here, I think JC's lack of time is a function of Gibbs' preference for expirience as opposed to his lack of skill.

Fox Pregame said that Gibbs said Campbell would be ready to start in 2-3 years
Which to me either proves he royally fucked up getting Campbell, or he thinks Brunell will be around that long. Either way, if this proves true I won't be happy.

I think at this point the coaches see JC as closer to disaster than starter.
Couldn't be further from the truth...Gibbs would sit Campbel for 5 years if him and Brunel were any younger. He likes veterans...always has. This has nothing to do with Campbel's potential shortcummings.

2-3 years from now or 2-3 years from the start of his career?
2-3 years from now makes no sense at all. It's got to be 2-3 years from the start of his career, which seemed to be the plan all along.

If JC was ready and looked good in practice he'd be playing. Gibbs says they are playing the QB that gives them the best chance to win and he does not think JC is that man. If Gibbs thought for a minute JC gave the team a better chance to win he'd play him but he doesnt so JC sits.
I dont know if JC is good or bad (I'm not watching practice) but Gibbs et al do watch and so far he has shown them he's not ready yet. Like I said, lots of less experienced QBs have shown enough to become starters ahead of shakey vets, JC aint one of them.

Gibbs obviously thought enough of Campbell to give up the picks to trade up for him. Coming out of college he was considered to be a bit of a project that could benefit by sitting a while, couple that with Gibbs' history of sticking with vets to the bitter end and bringing young QBs along slowly and it all makes logical sense if you ask me.

Gibbs is also the guy that said we scouted Desmond Howard and saw no flaws. College and pro are entirely different (as you well know) and because a player is highly regarded coming out of college is no guarantee he will work out in the pros.

campbell wasn't that highly regarded ;)
he javelined short/mid passes the way ramsey threw EVERYTHING... however, the touch on his deep balls was crazy good in college, and he's a little bit of a runner too.

Why not? There is a reason JC isnt playing and it because he's not ready. Other more inexperienced QBs are playing and playing well but JC stays on the bench because he's still not ready. I think JC has maybe 1 more year as a skin and then they are going to have to make a decision about whether or nat thay made a big mistake giving up so much for him. In the meantime Gibbs loves vets and BL is a solid vet. I can see the skins getting BL.
Please share with us where you get your information about Jason Campbell not being ready to play. I'm only asking because I haven't see or heard it anywhere other than from people who don't know what they're talking about.
