Which One is Better: Blocked FG or Moss 2 TD Game?dall-assblows 11-06-2006, 10:51 AM i think this one is sweeter b/c i turned off the tv right before the 2 moss td's and missed it. but i saw this whole thing SouperMeister 11-06-2006, 10:54 AM For me, being at the game yesterday made this one sweeter. I've never seen a crazier finish with opposing teams each having a game winning FG on consecutive plays. Crat92 11-06-2006, 10:55 AM I think this one was a lot better! What is the probability of a blocked game winning FG? Then to get the extra 15 yds. because of a face-mask penalty. It's about time the "rules" worked in our favor! Gmanc711 11-06-2006, 11:22 AM Its hard to say, I mean this one is so fresh in my mind....but I remember vividly my reactions to both games.....and this one was the craziest I've ever gone, I was litterally near tears after the game jumping up and down like Joe Carter going down the first baseline after hitting hte walkoff in game 6 to win the world series. I think this is the greatest win I've ever seen, but man oh man. Crazy! JWsleep 11-06-2006, 11:38 AM I was at the game too, AMD. I have never felt such crazy awesome energy in my life. Still buzzing. I am not going to choose: they were both perfect in their own way. Last year's was in Dallas, and picture-perfect in terms of football execution (at least on the TDs), and it was on MNF during the roids anal ring of horror celebration, etc. But I agree that this had to be the wierdest, most improbable series of football circumstances I have ever seen. The block. The amazing reverse field run-back. The 15 yard face mask to both move the ball into FG range AND to give us one more play with 0:00 on the clock. And then the crazy hook shot wind aided knuckle duck by local kid Nick the Kick the day after a big UMD win on a last second FG. And against Dallas, when our season looked to be over. Wow. Once in a lifetime. The lifetime of the Universe, that is.... PSUSkinsFan21 11-06-2006, 05:51 PM I'm going with last year's. It was just such a milestone for this generation of Skins. Just look at the raw emotion of Joe Gibbs last year versus this year and I think that describes the difference. This was a crazy win, no doubt, but I will never in my life forget last year's amazing Monday night game. It's just the type of game you remember where you were when...... Yesterday's? I'm sure I'll remember it for a very long time, but I don't think the emotion was as strong yesterday as last year. Just my opinion. RedskinRat 11-06-2006, 05:55 PM Not even close for me. 2005, in Dallas is the greatest win ever. I still watch that game and laugh my ass off every time I see the fan with the look of disbelief on her face. We were in their house, the commentator had just given the 'Parcells is 73-0 when leading by 13 or more in the 4th Qtr' and all was lost. Then the long bomb...That's an unbelieveable win. redskinsfan365 11-06-2006, 07:40 PM anyredskins victory over dall-ass is good, especially when T.O. drops 3 passes, but i'll take yesterday's win over the 2 td night anytime!i feel kind of odd cause i hate the cowboy organization, but i like bill parcells. RedskinRat 11-06-2006, 07:56 PM ......but i like bill parcells. Obviously a 'tits' man, then? mheisig 11-06-2006, 07:57 PM Last year we went into Dallas' own house, during their Ring of Honor ceremony night, and broke a losing streak to them by humiliating them in the last few minutes of the game. That's pretty hard to beat in my book. Add to that the 36-7 or whatever the score was for the second game, and last year felt like pretty much the greatest year against Dallas I can ever remember. |
