Where is Ramsey?dall-assblows 11-02-2006, 09:12 PM good idea ill start it right now!!!!!! CHIEF CHUCKING MY SPEAR 11-02-2006, 09:26 PM Gibbs never gave Ramsey a fair shot. Gibbs had his mind set on Brunell from day one. When Gibbs returned instead of bringing in Brunell and all these other FA. Gibbs should have played Ramsey in 2004 and see what Ramsey had that year and what kind of team he had. Instead of trading draft pick and signing everybodies over price players. SmootSmack 11-02-2006, 09:45 PM Gibbs owed Ramsey nothing. Ramsey can't even crack the top two with the Jets If he's so emotionally fragile that he can't handle QB competition then he doesn't belong in the league (for the record I think he handles it well, I don't understand why so many people want to act like he's the kid who gets picked last in recess so his mom talks to the principal about "why doesn't Timmy get to play more" I have no issue with Ramsey the person. But as a player, he had a chance to put so much distance between himself and Brunell last offseason and pre-season and he didn't I can't believe I got sucked into talking about this topic again. I'm done with it. CHIEF CHUCKING MY SPEAR 11-02-2006, 10:09 PM Never said he owed Ramsey anything especially since i guess Gibbs owes everything to Brunell for saving his life. In 2004 Ramsey outplayed Brunell and should have been given more than a quarter in the regular season last year. Especially how poorly Brunell played at the end of last season killing us in the playoffs by his piss poor play. Ramsey would have given the skins a chance against seattle. Brunell was terrible in the playoffs almost costing us the tampa game by his typical rookie mistakes with that interception late in the fourth quarter. The seattle game he miss open reciever and had moss for a touchdown and threw the ball out of bounds near the end zone. His only td against seattle should have been a interception but was deflected for a touchdown. Gibbs never gave Ramsey a fair shot and all honest redskins fans know this. And unfortually Gibbs is throwing away this season like he did in 2004 for his man love for Brunell again since the old man cant get it done. Everyone one can see that Brunell cant play in the league but Gibbs. Remember what SI said about Brunell from a scout, I cant believe this guy{Brunell} is still in the league he cant throw two good passes in a row. SmootSmack 11-02-2006, 10:11 PM Yeah like I said I'm done discussing it. Can't believe I got suckered into this stupid Patrick Ramsey debate for the 500th time. You have your opinions, I have mine. Onward and upward. Ramsey has moved on, I'm sure the rest of us can too skinsfan69 11-02-2006, 10:26 PM Ramsey is 3rd string in New York. He couldn't beat out noodle arm Pennington and a rookie. Enough said. EternalEnigma21 11-02-2006, 10:29 PM I hope that Campbell has the gun Ramsey had, but a little mobility and I hope we don't ruin him by letting him get killed his first year in. I know PR held the ball too long, but Spurrier didn't exactly make pass protection a priority either... CHIEF CHUCKING MY SPEAR 11-02-2006, 10:32 PM i would take pennington over the lip noodle arm qb we have here. Pennington actually throws the ball over the line of scrimmage not like our mr shuffle or screen pass or dump off the rb brunell to keep his stat. Brunell stats come when the game is a blow out and the other team let him dump the ball off and can get a late td like the indy game, or get most of his yardage like he did in the dallas game after it was out of hand. Heaven forbid that Brunell ever step up in the damn pocket instead of backing up like he does every freaking time. EternalEnigma21 11-02-2006, 10:35 PM brunell over pennington any day... I cant say I even base that on pure skill or anything, but he's always been a whiney little turd. My wife went to school with him and he was a self-righteous punk. Anyone remember the interview he did a couple of years ago after he threw like 3 picks in a game? About how much of a privelege it was to cover the Jets and he just wouldn't shut the fuck up.... 70Chip 11-03-2006, 12:21 AM Anne Ramsey, star of such film classics as "Throw Momma from the Train" and "The Goonies" passed away some years ago. I hope this answers your question. |
