I heard on Sirius and on ESPN today that it doesn't matter that Byron Leftwich is healthy this week, they're gonna start Garrard. David Garrard threw for 87 yards last week. It's not like Garrard is a horrible QB, but I don't think he's anywhere near the QB Byron Leftwich is.
All that said, that could play to the Skins hand some if say Jason Campbell doesn't end up being what we all hope he is. Byron Leftwich will be eligible for free agency in 07. If he's not the starter in Jacksonville then and the Skins don't have a qb, why not bring him home?
Now, I hope Campbell does end up being the guy to lead this team to the playoffs for years to come. However, just thinking "what if he doesn't work out?"

Yeah I had brought this up in another thread. I mean no matter how JC plays I still think we'll probably need to get a second QB. And it'd be nice to get someone who has significant game experience but isn't a fossil. Leftwich fits that but he's not a cheap #2.
Garrard finds a way to win somehow, plus I think Del Rio likes that his athleticism opens up more opportunities. Leftwich is solid though, but from what I've heard he and Del Rio aren't seeing eye to eye right now

It could have something to do with the fact that it takes Leftwich about 6 weeks to wind up and throw the ball.

I've always liked leftwitch since marshall. I've been a blundering turd fan for a long time. Both of my grandparents went there and my wife is an alum. It would be nice if he could come here, and if he's available I'd love to get him no matter what JC does... I mean, if we're gonna throw around draft picks for duckett, why not pick up a QB that can compete for a job next preseason....

If we are in the market for a QB next year; I"d be very much on the Leftwitch bandwagon.
Again, if we get to somthing like 2-6 or 3-7, this is why we need to play Campbell and find out if a second QB the calibur of Leftiwitch is somthing we need.

Leftwitch grew up a skins fan and whats sad is that Julius and Thomas Jones were too... Could you imagine for a minute growing up as a skins fan and getting drafted by the cowboys? The millions would help the transition, but wow, I would feel like such a dirty whore....

Honestly, I'd take less money to go anywhere BUT the Cowboys.
