Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!railcon56 11-04-2006, 10:49 PM You ain't kidding ILL, Gibbs is starting to remind me of mad scientist.:cheeky-sm Starting too????? Jason72 11-04-2006, 11:45 PM What happens if he does it this year and we miss the playoffs because of the horrible start? Everyone will say Gibbs didn't know what he was doing, and his inability to identify it cost us a playoff berth. If if and but's were candy and nut's we'd all have a wonderful christmas. In 1985 Joe Theisman was playing awful and we were losing. Of course Joe stuck with him anyways (Theisman even says Joe should have pulled him) until the infamous injury. Then Schroeder steps on the field and lights it up the rest of the year, just missing the playoffs at 10-6. What I am saying is, this scenario has happened before. It's still a tough call because Campbell, like Schroeder, is a complete mystery as to what he will bring. He could light it up, or could fall on his face. If he crashed and burned because he isn't comfortable with this offense yet, then it could ruin him mentally. I want to see Campbell as much as anybody, but I will trust Coach to pull that trigger when the time is right. |
