I agree with you. Yeah, it would be cool to get Clements and Freeny, but now it is time to build thru the draft. We dont have the cap space for it. Everyone is up in arms about the poor play of the free agents, but yet most people are calling for more high priced free agents.

green would never come here to be a #3, he'll want to (and deserve to) start
Green is 36, just had his head torn off and is about to be benched for the rest of the season.
He will be a #2 at best next year.
With Saunders here, why would he not come?
Saunder's offense is the offense that made Trent Green.

I think Mike Martz might be a head coach again somehwere and depending on where he goes it wouldn't surprise me to see him bring Trent Green

Green is not a #3 qb. He only led the nfl in offense the last 5 years and really showed no signs of his age. #3???? He's a starter.

How is he doing this year?
36 and not getting younger.
Look at the 32 starting QB's in league who would start him over?
How about Miami? They benched their 29 year old banged up QB.
Maybe, Oakland but he would last one set of downs behind that O-line.
I don't see Trent Green starting anywhere next year.

I'm a big Trent Green fan. But does Damon Huard's success this year speak more about his abilities or less about Green's?
Green isn't going to fall to a #3 QB, let's get real here.
He's still starting quality and at worst a very solid #2.

From what I've read KC has scaled back their offense quite a bit for Huard. Plus that offense is all about LJ regardless of who the QB is.

The coach watches each of them all week during practice. I would guees their play during the weeks speaks for itself.
Is that why Green isn't starting?

That would make sense. It is after all, no longer Vermeil/Saunders' offense.
