At least we're not missing washed-up players!!!

The Redskins' rivals in the NFC East -- the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys -- have stockpiled young talent. The Redskins, meanwhile, have stockpiled veterans on the downside of their careers. Their opening day roster consisted of players with an average age of 27.83, the highest in the NFL.

How much does Brunell skew that number? Portis, Moss, Cooley, El, Lloyd (and I'll throw Campbell in here) are all 25 or younger right?

We can also include discipline (or lack thereof) to the equation as well. That's something I never thought I would say about a Joe Gibbs coached team.

A sure fire way to exterminate the "injury bug"!

i think lloyd is 26 and moss and randle-el are 27... and thrash is 31 and patten is like 32 i believe.

26+27+27+31+32 = 143 / 5 = 28.6 average WR age.

list of guys that are 25 or under:
QB: campbell
RB: portis, duckett
WR:
TE: cooley
OL: molinaro
DL: boschetti, golston, montgomery
LB: mcintosh
CB: rodgers
FS: taylor, doughty
SS:
K: Novack
P: Frost

that's 4/22 starters and 2 crappy kickers. (14/53 roster spots).

for comparision, the eagles have 26 players age 25 or less, including their 4/5 WRs, 7/10 OL, and 7/22 starters.

I thought the receivers were younger than that, ah well.
