Sucks to be talking 2007 in October, but that's the hand we've been dealt. Vote and discuss.Welcome to my world.

Moderate - as others said, a QB change is not minimal. I say do that, dump Archesuxa, and pick up some REAL help for the secondary and LBs. Yeah, that should do it.

Dump Archuleta and take a $10 million cap hit? No thanks. As for the LBs, who would you bench? Marshall, Washington, or Rocky (assuming he is slated to start next season)? No thanks. I would, however, like to see a #2, #3 corner though.

AA can't be cut, obviously, if it costs more than keeping him, but he doesn't have to start.

I never said bench any of our starting LBs - I said get them help. We have no depth right now, and relying on those three to start every down is asking a lot. Plus, McIntosh isn't starting this year, so that's a false option.

Same for our secondary - I'd keep Springs/Rogers/Taylor, and replace AA with a SS starter that can actually, um, I don't know, cover?

I see 4 needs that we should take best available in the draft. I don't want to see any trading up or down. Use the picks that we have (how many is that? Two?).

O-line
D-line
Corner
Linebacker

I do not want any skill players through the draft or free agency we have plenty. The QB should be our FA focus. I don't mind if they get a FA corner, O or D lineman.

The line is the corps of a unit whether it be offense or defense. I think that everyone would agree that we are weak on both fronts.

Hopefully Pierson can come back and I would like them to hold onto Vincent. I think Vincent is a nice compliment to Taylor.

Force Archuletta and Carter to earn playing time. Unfortunately neither can be cut but Bible thumper Brunell can. Nice knowing you. Thanks for ruining 2 out of your 3 seasons.

Decent post until you went and took the shot at Brunell's faith.

vincent and prioleau (next year) can be those vet min coverage guys at SS. i think starting DT, CB, 6th starter for the OL, starting quality LB (lemar is 30, rocky isn't a sure thing right now), kicker/punter are our needs, in that order... a real pass rushing DE would be nice, but getting an immediate impact player there from the draft is extremely hard, and we've already got 3 starting DEs with a reserve, even though they're all average at best.

and to answer the other question, we have a 1, 5, 6, 7... if denver finishes close to us record wise, there could be a pick swap and we'd have a lower 1st and a 3rd i believe. i think there's a top 10 CB, but not a top 5 one. DE is relatively deep this year though, even though the hit percentage on 1st round DEs is only about 50% (and that's 3 years out, not immediate impact). speed cbs don't look very plentiful right now, but that'll change once the combine rolls around and they start practicing 40s :P.
