The post game on comcast with B mitch and co. was pretty funny, B mitch was ripping both Brunell and particular AA, he really ripped AA a new one, and blamed the coaches for all our latest signings, he also hinted that Williams didn't want AA, and that the knock on AA was that he can't cover, and if you can't cover you can't play saftey.

Czaban really ripped Gibbs with his post game press confrence when in the middle of this defeat Gibbs basically turns about and starts to apologize for not acknowledging the fans who showed up at skins park to see the bus off, Gibbs let them all know he was going to give them all something when he got back, Czaban had a field day with that one, he then began to point out the continued catch phrases and cliches as we have grown so accustomed to hearing, fighting our guts out, a great bunch of guy's, we fought hard, etc. and so on. He then stated that Gibbs remains delusional in his defense of Brunell. B mitch backed that up with saying there will be no changes in the next 2 weeks Gibbs has already started with a counter attack with any kind of QB change.

Bottom line I believe Gibbs is more concerned with building a congergation than a football team, in which he has no clue as to how to build a football team, his ability to evaluate talent is right up there with the guy sitting in the last seat at the top of the stadium seeing a game for the first time after he's had 10 or 12 cold ones.

If we are to believe that all this isn't Brunells fault then it can only be one other facet of our team and that's the O-line, and if thats the case then why hasen't he identified it and at least made attempts to fix it, rather than throwing away picks on everyone elses stars, Gibbs has Steinbrenner syndrome he is alway's looking at the flashy positions and never at the core, and he alway's has to have what everyone else has, instead of showing some insight and finding those type players in the draft.

Now here's the really scary problem that I have a feeling is going to rear it's ugly head, what if Gibbs same dilusions with Brunell come to roost with Campbell? Perhaps Campbell was no better than a late second round project as all the experts had projected until Gibbs turned him into a superstar in his own mind, just like Brunell? It's as if Gibbs has to give up the farm for a player he could have for much less to over emphesize that players ability that only he can see. I can't wait to see how much better Campbell will be than other young QB's who have been playing while he sits? I wonder if Gibbs plans on playing him at QB, or at some point will have him splitting the atom. Either way I feel the unvailing of Campbell will be likened to the unvailing of the titanic, and he will have about as much success as well. With all that said I really am looking forward to seeing him play becuase Brunell is already at the bottom of the ocean.

i wouldn't be so harsh on campbell till we actually see him play. and even then, 1st year (which is what he needs to be considered as) QBs tend to make lots of mistakes.

the CSN post game live was classic. b mitch and czab were right though. I don't know who called for those players this offseason, but someone should answer for it.

and for all the total homers: please put the pom-poms down. yes we won a lot straight last year. but last year OUR DEFENSE AND OFFENSE SHOWED SIGNS OF LIFE. we lost three games on the last play of the game against good teams (DEN, SD, TB), and the defense was very good. since then our LB corp (minus the average lavar) got worse, our DB depth got worse (mainly due to injuries, letting harris/clark go), and our DL got worse (mainly injuries, starting carter).

On offense the OL isn't protecting well, but even with that, the QB play is terrible, and i'm tired of hearing people blame everyone but brunell just cause gibbs said so. at 2-5 and playing poorly all around, neither he, nor gibbs, are immune from criticism. yes the defense sucks, yes the QB is getting hurried, but even when you factor that in, the QB still isn't getting it done.

i watched the show and if it re airs, every skins fan should watch. Mitchell is the skins harshest critic, but is usually right on the money. he doesn't sugarcoat anything. he was also wondering about the halftime adjustments and said maybe coach Gibbs is delegating too much

It was a great post game show. Just to expound on your AA statement. What I thought B Mitch said was that AA cant cover in the scheme the skins want to use and then went on to make the point that it would have better to realize he didnt fit into the skins scheme before they signed him to the huge contract rather than after. That goes back to my statement a week or so ago about the redskins paying guys before they have shown they can play.

This team needs a real front office that can pick talent to match what the team is trying to do. Unfortunately the skins change what they are doing every year so that would make talent selection very difficult.

B Mitch doesn't have any reason to sugarcoat anything. He will tell it like it is and I agree w/ him 99% of the time. He said AA was known as a safety that couldn't cover and we sign him to a 30m contract when we had Ryan Clark here last year. It just doesn't make sense.

And yea, he let Gibbs have it last night. There is no bigger Gibbs fan than myself but it gets kind of old to hear the same old things every week.

I don't think Gibbs has adapted to the 24 hour media scrutiny that exists today. It's no longer one or two reporters he can cozy up to, now any hack with a computer and an Internet connection is a "reporter" it seems.

Dmek, to your point about halftime adjustments I'm completely baffled by that because that was a staple of Gibbs' first go-round. We used to own the 3rd quarter. How I long for those days

Drivel. Czaban is a fool.

I agree I love comcast sportsnet, Bmitch is soo real its great, and I love it. Poor Ray Brown tries to sit there and defend Gibbs, while Chick kinda doesnt say anything to BMitch, but he is smiling deep down inside. The white dude, is right at times, but he is such an idiot because he might make a point, and then turn around and contradict himself the sentance right after. Best part is BMitch calls him out.

Monday Nite at Champps is ok, but Jansen sounds like Joe Gibbs presser in training.

I like how people would rather rip Gibbs a new one than consider the possibility that he knows what he's doing with his own personel. The guy's one of the greatest coaches of all time. But hey, we have computers! We're qualified!

so we should shut down this site right now cause they're obviously no purpose for it right? because gibbs has NEVER made a mistake, EVER (cough, howard, cough), right? because he knows his personnel so well that their offseason upgrades have resulted in truely craptacular play on both sides of the ball, and that's how it should be, right? because waiting 9 games into 2004 with brunell was the right call, right? because those legendary half time adjustments are REALLY working out right now, right?

if gibbs has final say, he gets some responsibility for this monster. If something stupid happens, calling it out is fair game. none of these "you can't question gibbs" posts ever say you can't praise him for the good, just that you can't possibly ever say anything about the bad.

look, a lot of people here don't make movies, and they aren't musicians, but that doesn't mean they don't know crap when they hear it, or when they're forced to watch it. that's an extremely tired arguement that just doesn't hold up. yes, he's knowledgeable, yes, he'd had success, yes he's more qualified than any of us, BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN he's always right. how many people here thought we needed a punter and cb depth? if gibbs is so much better than joe on the street at football and management, why didn't that get fixed? sometimes even the great ones fail to do the right thing.
