I like how people would rather rip Gibbs a new one than consider the possibility that he knows what he's doing with his own personel. The guy's one of the greatest coaches of all time. But hey, we have computers! We're qualified!

If he knows what he's doing, then why do we suck so bad? I think you should elaborate on this point because I'm not seeing your logic. Are you saying as bad as we are, without Gibbs' personel management, we could be worse? I'm not so sure about that.

so we should shut down this site right now cause they're obviously no purpose for it right? because gibbs has NEVER made a mistake, EVER (cough, howard, cough), right? because he knows his personnel so well that their offseason upgrades have resulted in truely craptacular play on both sides of the ball, and that's how it should be, right? because waiting 9 games into 2004 with brunell was the right call, right? because those legendary half time adjustments are REALLY working out right now, right?

if gibbs has final say, he gets some responsibility for this monster. If something stupid happens, calling it out is fair game. none of these "you can't question gibbs" posts ever say you can't praise him for the good, just that you can't possibly ever say anything about the bad.

look, a lot of people here don't make movies, and they aren't musicians, but that doesn't mean they don't know crap when they hear it, or when they're forced to watch it. that's an extremely tired arguement that just doesn't hold up. yes, he's knowledgeable, yes, he'd had success, yes he's more qualified than any of us, BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN he's always right. how many people here thought we needed a punter and cb depth? if gibbs is so much better than joe on the street at football and management, why didn't that get fixed? sometimes even the great ones fail to do the right thing.

 Get him TG, let him know what you really think! I love it!

Here's a very interesting comment by Bill Parcells tonight and I believe in identifing his own problem he's identified ours, I have long felt that the Boy's were in the same boat as we are QB wise, and had hoped they wouldn't give Romo time because it's only a matter of time before he really gets that team fireing on all cylinders. Which brings me to Parcells comment, and what he said about Bledsoe is what some of us have been saying about Brunell in a round about way, and that is he said Bledsoe is looking at the pass rush and once that happens he wont see anyone downfield, sound familar? In other words it's kind of like a dog who get's Rabies, once he has them it's all over you have to take the dog out back and shoot it. Well it's time someone took Brunell outback and disposed of him, and I think it should be Gibbs who does it, I can only imagine the seen, like Old Yeller part 2, with Gibbs blubbering as he hands him his walking papers. Brunell is to old he's more worried about getting hit than he is trying to complete a pass downfield. And for those who can remember pretty much the same thing was happening to Joey T towards the end of his career, I thought we should have sent LT a bonus check for putting him out of his football misery, but at least with Joey T you could understand the loyalty Gibbs had for him JT earned it, Brunell? What has he done for us period? And I don't want to here about the playoffs last year that was our defense who carried his sorry A** into the playoffs. I guess Joe still has one of those gut feelings about Brunell, but I think it's more like indigestion.

Good point. I am just flummoxed that Brunell is still the starter. It's true that it's unfair to blame all the team's woes on him, but what we have isn't working, and at this point we have nothing to lose. There's that Fitzgerald quote about insanity, which he defines as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. At some point you have to look at what we are doing offensively and say, there's not even anything to build on here.

My question to all is, do you really believe that there is reason to think this offense will improve with Brunell under center?

not for 2007, when it'll matter.

B Mitch called AA a bum. A straight up bum. That's pretty bold. Entertaining, but bold.

I thought calling Gibbs out for his comments apologizing to the fans was rediculous. I understand it. The mere fact that after LOSING at HOME to the 0-5 TITANS people actually showed up to see them off to the fucking COLTS? Those people have alot of faith and loyalty and it should be rewarded. They were out there showing support and if Gibbs feels like that's important for the players, f-it.

I mean, what the hell is he supposed to say? Fuck all you fans we keep losing and you just keep hanging around... we thought you'd take the hint by now, but you just keep showing up. We don't want you here. Go home.

Everyone is entitled to a mistake. Gibbs wasn't the only person in the NFL who thought Howard was the real deal

He was the only one who thought Brunell and Campbell are.
