These are just two that ive read recently, but everywhere I look im reading aobut how good our receivers are. One day is about how Jacobs should make the probowl because of his minicamp performances, then its an article about how Thrash is becoming a leader, and another on how McCants is proving why he got another contract. Brunell and Ramsey must be licking their chops at all these receivers. If our offense is anything less than dominant and top five in the league I will be dissappointed next year.
Im sure im not alone in being confident with our receivers this year.

Collectively, if Coles can stay healthy, I don't see how they aren't the best WR in the NFL.. The Colts are good with Harrison and Wayne, but then what's left? Same with Minnesota with Moss and Marcus Robinson.. I don't think we're going to have any problems scoring this season.. I just hope we can stop the run and pressure the QB..
If everyone lives up to their preseason hype we should have a very solid group of WR's.
I'd like to see Gardner have a bounce back season and start to live up to his first round hype.
As long as Coles stays healthy he should easily match last years' output.
Jacobs, McCants and Thrash should all be in the mix at some point, unless one of them really emerges as the clear #3.

I really like our receiver corps also (with a healthy Coles), but don't get caught up TOO much in the hometown hype. This is done every year. Even when they were going through 25 years of losing seasons, it was typical. I like Jacobs' propects. But to even MENTION Pro Bowl for a young receiver based on minicamps is way, way over the "silly" edge. At this time of year, every team has PRO BOWL receivers LOL. (Except Philly, where they hate their team).

Jacobs is no normal 2nd year receiver I have watched the SEC a long time Jacobs talent level is natural his talent level is higher than peerless price for example. He had 71 catches the year after Spurrier came to wreck the Redskins.

Does anyone ever live up to their preseason hype?

No doubt our receivers will be solid. I just don't see how we end up with a bad offense under any cicumstance. Even with numerous injuries we'll still have a solid plan coupled with depth. How high we end being ranked doesn't mean much as long as our offense is effective. The defense...now this is whole other story huh?

I'm just pissed that we let Reidel Anthony get away. If we had him on the team... THEN we would be dominant at WR. He's the missing piece...

Does anyone ever live up to their preseason hype?
Besides LeBron James and Carmelo? ;)
The first Redskin to come to mind who lived up to their hype last year was John Hall. That was a great signing.

I think we have a very deep receiver corps. To be honest, Coles is the only pro-bowl caliber receiver on the team right now.
Gardner is definately a second-tier receiver and Thrash is a serviceable third receiver.
I think McCants could eventually be the second or third guy on a team and no one knows much about Jacobs.
Lets not start talking "posse" quite yet though.
