Gibbs loves Brunell sure. And I was probably one of the last few to fall off his bandwagon. I thought it was Patten's fault that he wasn't getting open last year. Now we find out that he's just not hitting open receivers.
BrunellMVP?

I too have surprising optimism that we can beat the colts, but i am nervous that they are coming off a bye...

Gotta remain positive...
We beat Indy and Eagles, Dallas or NYG lose we're right back in the hunt.
Let's not give up hope til hope is gone. Then we all pray Gibbs will come back next year. GO REDSKINS!!! Keep the faith!

i like it. old school running downhill. is that in the 700 page playbook? i certainly havent seen it yet. sometimes it looks like the skins are trying to be too cute. lets go out and hitem in the mouth. just like we did in the jville game
I would say we saw it in the Jag's game but got away from it in our last game. Portis and the O line just needs to go to Gibbs and tell him to put the game on us.

If the Titans can play Indy close, the Skins sure can. You look up and down the rosters on paper and we definitely match up with those guys. Their run defense is a weak spot, so our O-line has to play with a chip.
The difference is Peyton, the smartest QB in the history of the NFL. He's pretty much an offensive coordinator in the prime of his playing career. The Colts haven't been blowing anyone out this season and their offense has yet to find its groove. Hopefully their bye week didn't iron out any kinks.
In their last 3 games:
Brunell: 618 yards, 4 TDs, 2 INTs, 56% compl., 3 sacks
Manning: 602 yards, 5 TDs, 1 INT, 60% compl., 4 sacks
Brunell has been playing slightly BETTER than Manning. :)
So if we had Peyton Manning with slimilar numbers to Brunell (and no all-time passing records this year), would you be whining to bench him for Campbell too, you hypocrites. :D
Brunell has more than twice as many rushing yards as Manning too, the rickety old man.

The only way to win is to go Old School.
Establish the line of scrimmage and run down hill.
Yeah, no forward passes! We have to bring Flutie in to teach Novak the dropkick too.

Carlos Rogers is OUT:
Redskins' CB Rogers out vs. Colts on Sunday

ASHBURN, Va. (AP) - Washington Redskins (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/67062) cornerback Carlos Rogers (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/300065)' broken thumb will keep him out of Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/67048), further depleting a struggling secondary as it prepares to face one of the top passing offenses in the league.
The Redskins (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/67062) apparently will open without their top two cornerbacks against Peyton Manning (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/69814), Marvin Harrison (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/69805) and the rest of the Colts (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/67048) attack. Shawn Springs (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/70729) said Wednesday he was "about the same as last week," meaning that he's not yet ready for starting duty after missing five games with abdomen and groin injuries.
Even with Rogers healthy, the secondary has repeatedly allowed big plays and has only one interception. The defense is ranked 24th against the pass and has allowed 25 pass plays of 20-plus yards, second most in the league.
The top candidates to start Sunday are Kenny Wright (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/70140) and Mike Rumph (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/102025). Neither has distinguished himself this season, and Rumph was put on the inactive list for the Titans (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/67047) game.
The Redskins (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/67062) signed five-time Pro Bowl defensive back Troy Vincent (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/70461) on Monday, but he needs time to learn the defense. Rogers, a first-round draft pick last year, was hurt trying to tackle Titans (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/67047) running back Travis Henry (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/69194) and needed three screws inserted into the thumb when he had surgery Monday. He broke the same thumb while playing for Auburn and missed one game.
