Exactly...Everybody knew this division would be a battle down to the wire. Everyone has been saying that since February. Someone has to be in last place at this point. Unfortunately it is the Redskins, but there is a lot of football left to play including three home division games. Let's not lose faith just yet. A win going into the buy would give us the much needed momentum going into FedEx to face off with the Cowgirls. We can do this! Southpaw 10-17-2006, 11:54 AM True, but Warner was losing games for them with all of his fumbling. Brunell isn't winning games for us, but he's not fumbling them away either. I don't understand why there's a distinction between losing games through inaction, and losing them from fumbling. A loss is a loss, and if the key player isn't making the key plays, a change needs to be made. And it wouldn't make sense to pull Brunell before the bye, but Gibbs is talking like benching him is out of the question. I agree; there's no real comparison to make here. Warner did lose games for the Cards. Listening to Joe T. in the booth last night, I recalled how he played with fire and loved to beat the Cowboys. I hope whoever our next starter is plays with fire. As long as we are still mathematically alive in the playoff race, Mark Brunell gives this team the best chance to win. He can't do it alone though. The team needs to start clicking on both sides of the ball and Teams, and the coaches need to get back to what works for this team...run the ball to set up the pass, manage the clock, and keep the opposing offense off the field. firstdown 10-17-2006, 12:04 PM I would like to thank the Redskins' organization for destroying any kind of hope for a good NFL team. The best coaches and players money can buy........ Yeah right what a freaking joke!!!!!!! You guys suck balls!!!!!! Great post you bring so much football analogy to this site. SmootSmack 10-17-2006, 12:09 PM Yes, but the Cards were smart enough to bench their washed-up veteran QB and start the youngster ; ) The Cardinals were also playing on a serious emotional high last night. First Monday night game in years, in a new stadium. PoundIt 10-17-2006, 12:21 PM Some change has to be made though. Not firing a coach, and maybe not benching Brunell YET. But something to light a fire under these guys because obviously Gibbs' pep talks arent doing it. Spring said soft wasnt the word for it when describing the teams play. Bench some poorly playing starter, just for the sake of getting these guys scared for their job. The Ravens are 4-2 and are firing their O-Coor Fassel today. We are 2-4 with 1 million question marks and we are going to do nothing. Again, I am not saying to fire anyone. Twilbert07 10-17-2006, 12:31 PM The Cardinals were also playing on a serious emotional high last night. First Monday night game in years, in a new stadium. You're right; the Cardinals' fan definitely were into the game last night. If our fans at FedEx had stayed fired up for all four quarters on Sunday, it might have inspired our players. freddyg12 10-17-2006, 12:43 PM Exactly...Everybody knew this division would be a battle down to the wire. Gibbs teams always play well in dec., plus other nfc east teams will have problems, e.g. TO, coughlin's g-men wearing down |
