I'll say this. If I see a dominating performance in Indy on both sides of the ball, I'll feel a glimmer of hope. If we lose there, it's lost.
I was listening to Cooley on EITM (I'll try to post a link when their site puts it up later today) and I get the feeling that this team could be really fired up for Indy, b/c God knows they should be.
Cooley, BTW, seemed just as shocked and pissed as all of us.

Take the finesse to the outhouse. Run the ball 30-35 times and your defense won't be on the feild long enough to give up 350 yds. This stinks!

Good. Because he seemed to have busted out pretty damn quick from the stadium too. The second I got down to the exit, I saw him heading out in his truck.
If that's what it takes for them to get a fire under their asses, then so be it. But as it stands right now, even if we go undefeated from here on out, Brunell will be the reason we don't win the Super Bowl. HA. I can't even believe I just said Super Bowl.

I really feel like we need to stop comparing this team to last year's or any other Gibbs coached teams from the past. Maybe we should just constrast them:
-The D is giving us no chance to win, unlike last year.
-We are losing to teams we should beat (at home no less), unlike last year.
-The offense isn't moving the ball consistanly, unlike last year.
-This team seems to make no half time adjustments, unlike last year.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff.
The only comparison I made was that both teams played like crap. Hard to dispute that. We were fortunate last year to play terrible and get three close wins to start the season.
-The D is giving us no chance to win, unlike last year.
-We are losing to teams we should beat (at home no less), unlike last year. We lost to the Raiders at home last year.
-The offense isn't moving the ball consistanly, unlike last year. We didn't move the ball versus the Bears or Dallas last year
-This team seems to make no half time adjustments, unlike last year. What half-time adjustment did we make versus the Broncos, Chiefs, Giants (away), Chargers, Cardinals (I know we won that one thanks to Antonio Brown) or Tampa Bay.

I agree. In other words, leave Al Saunders in D.C.

Have we forgotten the success in Houston and against the Jags? Its there! The three keys, "run the ball, run the ball, run the ball!"

Well thanks for the official notice, the football season is over. Over ??? Not for me - thank you very much.
Its not a destination, its a journey. A lot of very talented football players have a great deal to prove to us (fans) and more importantly to themselves. I'm going to watch this with much interest. Are the Skins going to get up after getting knocked down? I certainly hope so!
I will agree that the journey is less fun if you are not the lead dog. The view is bad from this perspective.

I'd like to think of myself as "cautiosly optomistic". if we go to Indy and "run the ball" we'll win the game. Am I making this too simple?

Well, I never thought I'd say it.. but we officially SUCK. Our D totally let us down. How do you let go of lead like that when we need to win so badly? Over confidence and laziness... So now I agree with all of you. WE SUCK.

After watching the first six games I have to ask. What does Gibbs do on the side lines? Its like he is on his own little island just watching and listening to whats going on. I did see him make the call last week to go for the field goal when we where down by to TD's in the 4th quarter. I'm not blaming Gibbs for the loss but he just looks lost with nothing to do. I also think the casual manner we had in training camp and presaeson is alot of our problems.
