JGisLordOfTheRings 10-16-2006, 02:46 PM If we drop to 2-5 next week the season is pretty much done for me. If that happens and we don't get Campbell ready to play after the bye, I'll really be scratching my head. The season hinges on beating the Colts.
Thats about the exact way I feel about the enitre situation. To say that the season is salvagable if Indy beats us is ludicrous( not the rapper)
. We definitly need to look ahead to the future and prepare as best we can for it....
hesscl34 10-16-2006, 02:48 PM Excellent example but, then they showed signs of a change and we, show no such drive. I read an artivcle that said Snyder was meddling in team affairs again, and THAT aint good....
I think the best chance we have to win ANYTIME in the near future is Joe Gibbs and his staff...maybe there are a few smaller assisitant coaches that could change places (hint, hint), but if Joe or mr. Saunders goes, we are fucked. Royally. Wanna end up like the raiders are now? Old head coach, has noting left in him, no TRUE team talent, and NOT A FUCKING WIN YET! And they probably wont get one ANY time this year till sum1 gives em 1....
I think we just have to believe in Joe....and get rid of some of the slackers...if we lose the next 3-5 games....its time to say fuck this season and look to the future and find out what's up with JC NOW!
... What I saw yesterday.... it's over, IF we don't regroup and get our acts together.... :(

I'd love to see this article and who wrote it.

Regrouping isnt the word.....maybe, REVITALIZING a dead defense and our "run heavy oh wait fuck that, let Brunell just HOCK it offense"
What i saw yesterday made me sick...truly...i threw up it hurt so much.....

JGisLordOfTheRings 10-16-2006, 02:51 PM i think its on the main page on the top left corner where the news articles are....its in the bottom of one of the top 4...
JGisLordOfTheRings 10-16-2006, 02:52 PM WASHINGTON - Washington coach Joe Gibbs is in the bunker mode.
Stealing a passage from Ben Franklin’s motto of “We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately,” Gibbs lamented the entire team was responsible for the 25-22 loss to previously-winless Tennessee on Sunday down to the parking attendants who let the Titans bus into FedEx Field.
The offense was practically non-existent over the final three quarters after taking a 14-0 on its first two possessions. The defense let a rookie quarterback beat them in the final minutes. Special teams permitted a blocked punt for a a safety.
Sounds like predecessor coach Norv Turner talking about all three phases and that’s not a good thing.
Washington travels to unbeaten Indianapolis on Sunday. Chances are that’s a loss as the Redskins enter the bye 2-5. The season looks trashed even if the team won’t admit it.
“You can’t, at 2-4, think this thing is a lost cause,” quarterback Mark Brunell said, “because the second you do that you’re in trouble.”
Mark — there’s trouble in the capital city. It starts with T and that stands for taxes (sorry, local version). The team isn’t making the playoffs barring a dramatic turnaround. Brunell could be headed into retirement with Gibbs on his heels.
The whispers around the team say owner Dan Snyder is meddling again. Telling coaches they’re not worth their big salaries. That really bodes badly because if the owner gets his paws on the helm the franchise will surely crash and burn.
The faces of players in the locker room revealed all. It was more than frustration. It was resignation. They’ve seen potential fade quickly in the past. After six games, the team is what it is and there’s no help coming.
JGisLordOfTheRings 10-16-2006, 02:53 PM Mr. Snyder, as much as I lovge you buddy, saty the FUCK out of matteers that you are a dunce in...just sign the checks and pray like the rest of us....

It's pretty bleak when the season hinges on beating arguably one of the best football teams of that past few years and somehow figuring out how to stop one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game.
Sheriff Gonna Getcha 10-16-2006, 06:47 PM If Danny is meddling, we should get the villagers together and take our torches and pitchforks over the Redskins Park and lynch him. That said, I doubt he's dumb enough to meddle again.

The season hinges on beating the Colts.Well, no, the season hinges on a huge surge after the bye. Win or lose here vs. Indy, the disappointment of this start will be a distant memory come Dallas week post-bye.
A win would go a long way to shutting some people up around the league and here though. But I think its the least crucial game remaining on the schedule.
We were 5-6 last year so 2-5 could easily become 5-6 if not 6-5, if the defense plays like a NFL defense finally.
