EternalEnigma21 10-15-2006, 06:30 PM The D is sucking horribly right now. We look like complete dogshit. Our offense does need a fresh start and I'd give it to Campbell right now, but i've never been a brunell supporter. I give him props when he does good, but he's just as inconsistant as ramsey was...
Its time to move on to Campbell... Brunell should go sign a one day contract with Jacksonville and retire in the community he cares about... where his heart is according to him...
Not making excuses for our defense, because we should've probably shut them out, but our offense was capable of keeping the game out of reach, but didn't. Most of that can be attributed to brunell....
GTripp0012 10-15-2006, 06:35 PM Latest person....Mooby, you were here for last season, I KNOW you were.
He's been a liability from day one. Campbell, now!Mooby's pretty much dead on. Do you think every QB who makes multiple mistakes in a game should be benched the next week? Should the Eagles bench Donovan McNabb because they lost to the Saints? Should the Bengals bench Carson Palmer because they lost to Tampa Bay? I mean, they both made a bunch of mistakes today.
And what is this "here for last season" arguement? I would use that as a pro-Brunell arguement.
For the record I think if this team misses the playoffs, Campbell should get the job next season. So this arguement isn't really about my love for Brunell. It's about protecting the QB of YOUR Washington Redskins from becoming a Scapegoat for a team who has a defense that will be ranked in the bottom quarter of the league after this week.
Crat92 10-15-2006, 06:44 PM Blaming the D, is like puttin a band-aid on a bullet wound! Yes the D has been terrible, but Brunell has been equally as terrible or more so. You can't expect the D to hold when the O constantly goes three and out at crucial parts of the game. Damn Brunell, just keep the damn chains movin. When is everyone gonna wake up? Brunell is done! HAIL from Nashville!
Sheriff Gonna Getcha 10-15-2006, 06:45 PM I understand your points GTripp, but there's really no comparison between Brunell and McNabb or Palmer.
Crat92 10-15-2006, 06:49 PM You got that shit right Sheriff!HAIL FRom Nashville!
Mc2guy 10-15-2006, 06:49 PM Brunell has average stats due ONLY to the fact that he has stellar playmakers catching the ball. Watching other games I am amazed at how well even average QBs are hitting receivers over the middle in stride, even against decent defenses. We don't see that because our QB can't do it.
It amazes me that there are some of you who just watched the same game that I did and don't look at your QB as a major source of problems. I'm dumfounded that there are still some of you defending Brunell. He is incapable of stretching the field vertically and defeneses know that...why do you think the Titans were able to key in on teh short passes and screens today? Because they knew they didn't have to worry about the deeper routes. Then, when down big and desparate, we tried to throw down the field, the results of which were self evident.
Why on god's green earth would we wait until next year to play Campbell. As I said last week, this season is done for us and the sooner to start making some pragmatic personnel decisions, the better this team can be in the future. Starting Campbell now means has two advantages. One, you find out if he has the IT factor necessary to be a pro QB and if he doesn't, well at least you know and you find out in a season that doesn't mean much. Second, finding out now means we can make smart decisions in Free Agency. If in fact it is determined that JC is not "The Man", for the future, why waste next year finding out? Waiting until next year to see if JC can play has NO BENEFIT to the team. If you can't see that, then you are blind to the reality that is slapping us all in the face.

The defense is the source of the problem. The blame is just going to Brunell because he threw the pick to end our chances of winning. Part of the blame is Brunell's fault for the way he played at the end of the game, but he wouldn't have been put in that situation if it wasn't for the defense. Once the Skins have been officially eliminated from playoff contention, I'm all for putting Campbell in and letting him take his lumps. Until then, we need Brunell.
dmek25 10-15-2006, 06:50 PM i always thought brunell gave the skins the best chance at winning. i do not believe that anymore. and no, it wasnt all his fault. but if santana doesnt keep on making plays, brunell sucks, plain and simple
Sheriff Gonna Getcha 10-15-2006, 06:52 PM Why are we looking for "the problem?" Isn't there more than just one problem? Brunell, the entire defense, the special teams, the coaches, the color white, and just about everything else worked together in a perfect storm to ruin today's game.
bench brunell, rodgers, holdman, and wright.
