Twilbert07 10-15-2006, 05:25 PM I'd say the D is the bigger problem. Henry had a career day and put us in the position where Brunell was forcing the issue. When a back runs for 178 on you it's tough to win no matter who your QB is. Brunell can manage the game well enough with support but the defense is a major disappointment right now and is giving us no help at all. Yes, much of this is on the defense. But consider this: When the score was tied 22-22 and the Titans needed a score, ROOKIE Vince Young led his team to the FG. Mark Brunell led his team nowhere, twice. That's a major indictment on Brunell's ability to win game for us. Brunell now is 2-4 as a starter this year. He has a dud for an arm. Moss's reaction to his passes tells me all I need. We can't win with that guy at the helm. Certainly not when we are 2-4 with the Colts looming. Brunell certainly is not innocent, I just think it's funny we have a bench Brunell thread that's seeing about 6 times as much action as the defense bashing thread. That's very telling where our mindsets as fans are. Brunell is the bad guy even though the D just went belly up for Travis Henry and a rookie QB. As you know, the QB gets too much credit for good and too much blame for bad. It's just that Brunell's best and last chance to take us to the Super Bowl was last year.
