I'm glad he's getting back into the swing of things after three injury plagued seasons. I've always felt bad for him because he's got just as much talent as anyone, but couldn't maximize it because of injuries.
I hope he and not Bonds makes a good run and Hank Aaron's record. Unlike Bonds, KGJ seems to be a bit more humble.

I'm happy for Griffey as well, people forget how dominant he once was. I'd like to see Grant Hill return to form as well, but that's looking less likely

Yeah, and Alonzo Mourning.

how old is Griffey? I think all these years of injury will prevent him for makign a run at the record. He used to be a great player. I always like Frank Thomas more than Griffey, Griffey entered the league in 89, Thomas in 90. I think Thomas has 430 homeruns and hasnt been injured near as much as Griffey, so I guess Griffey definitly turned out to be the better ball player.
Grant Hill was the man, i loved him when he came into the league.

He'll be 35 in November. Frank Thomas had a resurgence last year. Both those guys are class acts, Thomas especially.

When you consider what Bonds has done since turning 35, there's no reason to think that if Griffey stays healthy he can't do the same.
When you consider what the juice has done for Bonds...

i like frank thomas but i wouldn't consider him a class act since almost every time he opens his mouth, he complains about money.

I've never heard him complain about money.
I have heard that he has taken *less* money to stay with the Sox, though.

there was something a year or 2 ago when thomas said he was being robbed by the white sox and they were trying to keep part of his money from him or something like that. i am glad to see he and griffey back to their old hitting ways cuz i'm so freaking tired of every baseball discussion or topic on tv having something to do with mr. steriods barry bonds.
