Chiefs Cut Run Stopper,should We Take A Look?

Our DTs are the only positive on D so far this year. Well that's an over statement but not by much. We don't need another good run stopper. We have three already. We need someone who can cover a WR or sack the QB. He can do neither well.

We don't need this guy, We have Griffin and Salave'a, and Golston and Montgomery have played suprisingly well for a couple of late round rookies.

How about Golston on the end during running down. Carters end that is.

Pass on Dalton-- we need a shut-down corner and some consistent pressure on the QBs

Can he play corner? If not don't bother.

I actually use to sport that avy like it was my job, but then the ST one that I rock came out, so I decided to sport it. I don't think too many people do so it works out. I guess that applies with your current avatar as well lol.

I don't think Howie Long is under contract with anyone.

i remember the one sack dalton got for us for some reason. it was like a stunt and he ran up the middle after our guy picked the 2 o-linemen there and he got a clean shot...dalton isnt the answer for this defense and he has already had a stint here not too long ago.

As of this week, the Redskins are #13 against the run.

Here's what the defense has allowed in each game so far:

vs. Vikings = 86 yards rushing
@ Dallas = 138 yards rushing
@ Houston = 61 yards rushing
vs. Jaguars = 33 yards rushing
@ Giants = 155 yards rushing

When good opponents commit to the run against us, they can ram the ball down the Redskin's throat. Against bad teams, and teams that don't really commit (like the Jaguars, only 15 attempts) they seem to be able to stop the run.

I don't think Dalton would have much of an impact either way.

And as much as I'd like to believe they've found diamonds in the rough with Golston and Montgomery, if you look at the roster, when Salave'a was injured, there was nobody else left to play the position.

I've seen Golston make numerous plays and he seems to fit our scheme. We try to play in the opponent's backfield, not just take up space at the line of scrimmage. We could recruit the dropouts from "The Biggest Loser", too. They'd be cheaper and just as effective as dalton...

What was the name of that X-Raider that we signed after he got out of prison??? I wonder what happened to that guy? What the hell was his name?
