Still, he should be able to do kickoffs drunk. It would be nice to see one or two reach the end zone. Hell ya you can kick drunk! Jergy and Kilmer played QB drunk for years. Jan. is still a 78% kicker. ArtMonkDrillz 10-13-2006, 12:32 PM I know my cousin is really happy about this (re-)signing because he was fraternity brothers with Nick at UMD. Plus, they look like twins... http://www.hhp.umd.edu/KNES/photo_images/alums/Nick_Novak_04.jpg http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/6792/dsc01470mh9.jpg (http://imageshack.us) MTK 10-13-2006, 12:33 PM a couple of diaper dandies, damn Anyone ever take a close look at the kicker for the Chargers, Nate Kaeding? That guy looks like he could go undercover in a kindergarten class. That guy looks like he could go undercover in a kindergarten class. That reminds me of the funniest thing I've ever heard John Madden say. It was during a Buccaneers game, when Martin Grammatica was still kicking for them. He took an image of Grammatica after a kick while he was still wearing his helmet (which looked 2 sizes too big), and said something like, "if you didn't know anything about football, and saw this guy would you think he was actually a REAL football player--or just a trick-or-treater?" I can't remember exactly how he said it, or exactly what was said, but it was damn funny especially coming from Madden. Anyone else remember that? http://www.pinellas-news.com/issue/0041_09_13_2002/photo/Martin-Grammatica-001.jpg football player, or trick-or-treater? BDBohnzie 10-13-2006, 02:05 PM I'm perusing for the full quote, but while doing so, found Gramatica's response (http://www.everyedge.com/vb/archive/index.php?t-16122.html): TRICK OR TREAT? Fox NFL analyst John Madden has taken quite a few shots at the Bucs in recent weeks. He has criticized LG Randall McDaniel's skills and stamina, FB Mike Alstott's blocking ability and even PK Martin Gramatica's uniform. Madden said in jest that Gramatica's helmet makes him look like he's wearing a Halloween costume. Surprisingly, Gramatica agreed. "I look at the way I look with that helmet on and I make fun of myself,'' Gramatica said. "What [Madden] said doesn't bother me. He's just doing his job.'' Gramatica even sent Madden an autographed mini-helmet. MTK 10-13-2006, 02:56 PM On the Gramatica note, one of the funniest things I've ever seen in football was when Bill Gramatica blew his knee out while celebrating a field goal in 2001. He was jumping around like a complete spazz and ripped up his knee... the football gods do have a sense of humor! MTK 10-13-2006, 03:13 PM Wasn't that only like a 25yrd FG in the 1st quarter? What a goober. Yeah it might as well have been an extra point, it's not like it was a 50 yarder at the gun to win it. |
