marty and joe gibbs....i got three big differences...lets start with the three superbowl wins...i think marty has none. coaches coach and players play. the players need to take a good look in the mirror and start making the plays. thats all there is too it. Joe Gibbs definetly needs to take more risks. I keep hearing how he adjusts to the personell he has. Well if he is going to win, with ultra concervative Brunell, he better adjust and start taking chances.

I think you may be right. i have watched Joe Gibbs for years and he is a master at learning from his mistakes. He also will adjust and change his game plan to take advantage of his teams strengths

All that aside, if this is the case, that the game is passing Gibbs by, then there are plenty of other coaches in the same boat, or never had a grasp of the game in the first place (insert Spurrier jokes here). Gibbs hovering at .500 is fine, as that includes a 10-6 playoff appearance last year. Insert another new offensive scheme, and it'll take a while for the players to adjust. Injuries on defense have been crucial to their play as well.

19-20 means 13-10 since after the first season. Gibbs is producing, and will continue to do so once the personnel starts to click like clock work.

I hate to say it, but Joe is becoming to concervative. In his first go around he was a risk taker. Now he plays not loose. I could not believe it when they did not go for it on forth down, I watched them pass on third and one and said to myself, I guess Joe figured that he was in four down territory and was going to run on forth down. I was shocked when they kicked a field goal. This showed no confidence in our offense and at 16 to 3made no real sense. If they had scored a touch down the momentum would have been completely turned around. We need to play to win. Come on Joe, remember those fake punts, remember those forth and ones(John Riggins, superbowl). Joe was an offensive powerhouse the first time around.
