It was only a 42 yarder and would have brought us within 10. TAKE THE POINTS every time when you are in that situation. If Hall makes that we only need a TD and another FG to tie. If you go for it and dont get it then you would still need 2 TDs to win, not to mention you now have nothing to show fora very productive drive. You cant honestly say it was a bad coaching desicion, can you? I think the decision to pass on 3rd and 1 was worse than the decision to kick the field goal on 4th down. CP was averaging 4 yards a carry, you have Sellers, good blocking TE's and an offensive line that should have been able to get you that yard. Sometimes even the obvious play is the right call, all they had to do is execute it properly. Much better odds on 3rd and 1 than the pass play. Even if you lose two or three because the Giants make a good play, you still have a makeable field goal. Or maybe you get to 4th and inches and a quarterback sneak is all you need. Bad call on 3rd down.
