What A Big Swingdall-assblows 10-09-2006, 12:36 PM it seems like when brunell is good he's great, but when he's bad he is REAL BAD! i'm tired of it. MTK 10-09-2006, 12:43 PM Brunell's play always mirrors that of the entire offense. This isn't exactly a news flash. We all know what kind of QB he is. He's not Manning or McNabb. He's not an elite QB that can win the game by himself, but he is capable of winning games with support. I'm tired of discussing this like it's anything new. hesscl34 10-09-2006, 12:49 PM Seriously.... this conversation gets old. Schneed10 10-09-2006, 01:50 PM He is what he is. If he's getting pressured, or if he's hurt, he's not that effective. He's not Steve Young or Donovan McNabb who can scramble around and make amazing plays even under lots of pressure. He'll just get away from the pressure and throw the ball away, avoiding mistakes. But if you give him time, he'll make the right decision and deliver the ball. If Trent Dilfer can win a Super Bowl, so can Mark Brunell. QB is not the problem. Lack of pass rush, lack of coverage, and inconsistent offensive line play are the problems right now. Would we be better off with McNabb? Hell yes. But we have Brunell and Campbell. And we're better off with Brunell. Twilbert07 10-09-2006, 04:50 PM Seriously.... this conversation gets old. Not as old as Brunell ; ) Twilbert07 10-09-2006, 04:52 PM The problem is that the Eagles and to some degree, the Giants, have QBs who can make something out of nothing (see Eli Manning's bombs yesterday). We have an adequate QB. This will make a huge difference down the road. Dogtag 10-09-2006, 05:19 PM OK, I fell for it, another MB is bad thread that I swore to myself that I would avoid in the future. This is starting to grate on my one remaining nerve like the question coming from the four-year-old in the back seat of the car ... Are We There Yet? No, we are not there yet ... it is not time to throw QB "X" into the game. Gee that made me feel better! dmek25 10-09-2006, 05:25 PM mark brunell gives the redskins the best chance at winning, now. but i cant remember a qback that is so damn inconsistant. throwing for right around 100 yards a game, more than once, warrants concern mike340 10-09-2006, 06:31 PM If Eli made something out of nothing on the bombs, I wonder what Brunell started with on the game-winning play against the Jaguars. I'm starting to wonder if we shouldn't call this the amnesia board. I'm starting to wonder if we shouldn't call this the amnesia board. Eli made several of those plays yesterday. Brunell made none. I was comparing the QBs in the games played yesterday. The Jags game, as we all know, is long in the past now. |
