What would you trade for secondary help?

Are you suggesting we send money to fix this b/c nothing will be done regardless???

Sheriff, I usually agree with you and have much respect for what you do around here. But I've got to disagree with your analysis on a few points....

1. In the GW defense, the CB is required to do much more than go man up. In addition, any CB who falls into the category of being a solid cover corner is going to be impossible to purchase.

2. By time we get to the SB or playoffs, the CBs we have now will be much more up to speed than they were up to this point. They are not lacking in athletic ability.

3. The probability (but by no means certainty) is that by time we end up in the second half of the season, SS will be back on the field.

All fair points. I just hope our CBs do in fact get up to speed. Thus far I am very disappointed with Rogers and I'm beginning to wonder if we will ever see Springs.

I'm still willing to give guys like Rumph and Wright more time to get up to speed. Plus Rogers is still developing.

Here's a suggestion (albeit bourbon induced) for our secondary woes. What about a player with rare athletic skills who goes against the GW defense every day in practice?

I'm thinking get Randle El ala Troy Brown for the Patriots.

That's yet to be seen, and something we must stay patient with. Not every corner is Champ Bailey.

I'm not asking for Rogers to be Champ. I just need to see some glimmer of progress. Focus on one thing and do it well. Tackling, Zone Coverage, or Man to Man. Pick one Carlos and make it your trademark. Patience is fine but when you are a top 10 pick you unfortunately need to be special. And sooner.

Derek Smith? Is he that bad? It's amazing he stuck around this long. I know one thing for sure, we never take back what we tossed. That would make us Indian givers. Yes he is that bad I have no idea how that POS has stayed around. Maybe because he has a beautiful soul and Mike Nolan has a man crush on him?

sammy davis? didnt he die a couple of years ago? Sammy Davis is a POS corner that is a Chargers 1st round bust. We traded Rashaun Woods who is a bigger POS for him.
