My prediction regarding Springs is he's not going to be 100% until the middle of the season at least. I wouldn't be suprised if he doesn't play at all this year.

Just my gut feeling.

You know, I was feeling the same thing and was going to start a new thread on that subject. I don't know what is going on here. It seems like everyone that does interviews at Redskins park doesn't seem to want to talk about it. From Joe to Gregg and even Vinny on the noon show yesterday acts like they don't know what the status of springs is, WTF??? Everyone should listen to the archive file on Redskins.com from yesterdays show. Vinny was asked about Springs and he said something like I don't really know, Springs saw his specialist and everything is really up to HIM at this point. If you listen to the tone in Vinny's voice when he said that, it really tells the whole story. I consider Springs to be the best player we have on D and for the coaches to act like they have no clue as to what is going on is VERY ODD...

Reminds me alot of LaVar's knee situation, without all the drama of course.

Springs is seeing specialists, he's week to week... I don't like the chances of him coming back any time soon.

Man, we must be on same the wave length or something. I was thinking the exact same thing. Last year with Arrington started out like he's hurt and cant play but we never got any real answer about it. As the season progressed well, we all know how that ended up. All we herd was next week, next week, Hopefully he'll be ready to go and thats all were hearing now. I just want to know what is exactly wrong with Springs. Not he tweaked his groin or some kind of laceration thing. I mean do they not have a actual diagnosis for this guy or what??? I don't know but I feel like this season has started just about as bad as can be. Does anybody get the feeling like there has been some regrettable decisions about how this organization has been run sofar this season. Starting with how the preseason was handled to the way Coach has let decisions about playing be up to the players kinda thing. I almost feel like Joe is letting all the decisions be made up to everyone else or something. I don't even want to say it, but do you think that this may be Joe's last year here!

I just have one question...if he knew it was going to be a problem....why did he wait so long for surgery???

It seems like this is a case of the cure being worse than the disease.

Springs is acting like a realy Pus*y, do your damn job. In the NFL players play through the pain. Everyone knows that there are players that wont or cant play throught the pain and unfortunatley he is one of them. Jansen played most of last season w/ two broken thumbs, Emmit Smith played a game with a separated shoulder, sh*t TO came back after 4 weeks with a broken ankle, but Springs cant go in with a strain?

damn, i'm sure glad you're not the GM. he's slow and can't cut right now. he's be worthlesss on the field, an forcing him out there would hobble him for much longer than just letting it heal.

yes it sucks, but springs has had injury concerns for a while, and that's why he was available in FA in 2004 and why he was able to be signed so cheaply compared to his talent.

I wish we would've signed Ty Law for insurance because Rogers and Springs was hurt last year.
