and also not related to the previous injury..
right - the previous injury is what wasn't ready. i'm not sure why they even mentioned the groin injury if it didn't contribute to the decision not to play him. i do have to wonder if he tweaked the abdomen injury by practicing too early.

if PP wasn't on IR i'd feel better about the whole secondary :/ I think taylor is a good match up for bigger WRs and him in man + PP in zone is better than ST in zone + rumph in man/zone.

If he is able to go this week, I still sit him. At least until we have coverage issues. Jags O is far less of a concern then their D. We desperatly need Shawn in NY next week.

luckily, they only have tall slow WRs, and we've only got tall slow DBs. not as bad a matchup as andre johnson or terry glenn.

are we all in agreement that one player( s springs) is that big of a difference maker that our defense will change drastically? im not, i dont buy it. although i didnt think portis coming back would make that big of a difference. i was wrong on the that one
I really believe the threat of a shutdown corner, which springs was at onetime, puts a little bit of fear in the oppostions game planning. With that being said i dont think anyone fears wright, rumph, and rogers. Springs is that difference maker in the secondary. My biggest fear is that springs wont make it back in time. the last i have read of his situation is he probably wont even make the giants game. to have any hope of beating the colts we need him healthy.

Springs is acting like a realy Pus*y, do your damn job. In the NFL players play through the pain. Everyone knows that there are players that wont or cant play throught the pain and unfortunatley he is one of them. Jansen played most of last season w/ two broken thumbs, Emmit Smith played a game with a separated shoulder, sh*t TO came back after 4 weeks with a broken ankle, but Springs cant go in with a strain?
