I must say, I'm still encouraged by what I saw. The fact the he actually connected on 22 straight passes can't be taken away, anyway you slice it.
You have to figure that Jacksonville will have to gameplan for all the mis-direction and screen plays. He looked comfortable for the first time yesterday. The offense will build on yesterday's success and start taking some deep shots.

JoeRedskin and 12thMan said it well. MB was competent, and you can't knock 22 completions in a row. If he continues to not make mistakes (and the O-line can buy him time, which is the unknown factor), then there should be quite a few more wins this season for the Skins.

It was certainly a step in the right direction, but he has to show it against more than the Texans, obviously. But it took just one game to get him on track last year, so maybe that sort of spark is what he needs. Recall how bad he sucked before the 4th quarter in Dallas last season. Then he rolled until he got hurt.

what i'd expect from a vet facing absolutely zero pass rush.

Jags will gameplan to take CP out of the game which will open up the outside for the receivers. I look for the Skins to play another good game this weekend at home and MAYBE they can squeak a win out from a VERY good team.

I saw a number of penalties, both ours, and theirs that kept the streak alive!
His life was spared just like he spared HOF Coach Gibbs life. Except his relief came in the form of yellow hankies!
It's kind of like a BB player who walks three times, and gets a big DNP beside his name in the box score. His BA neither goes up nor down!
If you give him grief in failure, you must give the props in success! I am happy, my employer does not look for reasons to DENY me my success's while still harpooning me with my failures!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the short stuff will work against jax. And then when the safeties start to creep up, bombs will start to drop and all of the Brunell haters wil get off of his jock. This team will go undefeated from here on out. This is the first game of the regular season.

We'll take what the Defense gives us. If they want to focus on Portis (good luck!), we'll have Cooley, Randle El and Moss on deep and intermediate routes. I'd like to see more of Lloyd but perhaps there still a learning curve going on with him.

If he would have broken that one arm tackle on his slant, he would have been GONE. At least he's not dropping stuff like we heard he would.
