Portis definitely makes our offense click, then Betts takes over from there. Who said we could live without Ladell Betts?

i still think we could live w/o Betts (especially if we could trade him for a decent corner). Duckett made a good name for himself backing up another slashback.

They also posted some stats on the telecast showing Gibbs' winning percentage when the O rushes the ball more than 20 to 25 times per game...something like 162-29. Sick numbers. Portis is the engine as he loosens up the D for Ladell and Rock (fumbalya) Cartright AND the passing game.

it was gibb's record when we run the ball 30+ times he is almost unbeatable. all other areas he is fairly average

After yesterday, Gibbs is 119-19 when his team rushes more than 30+ times. Amazing stat! You'll probably find the same correlation between most coaches that rush more than 30+ times in a game, though. Running means ball control, which means you're securing the lead.

I'm sure that has nothing to do with the fact when you're working on sealing a win you just keep running the ball.

Yea, that stat is a little deceiving. When you are behind you'll throw more and vice versa.

What also makes it click is playing the worst Defense in the NFL. Lets not pretend we just beat a quality team. We should have whipped their asses. Now, let wait and see what we can do against a real defense when the Jags come in town next week.

No doubt - Portis is the key to the O. You really can't credibly argue anything different.

Yea, that stat is a little deceiving. When you are behind you'll throw more and vice versa.

Yeah, I'd like to see how that stat looks through 3 quarters. That would weed out the garbage plays at the end of the game. And focus more on game plan.
