The best case scenario for this sort of surgery would be six weeks. We play them in eight weeks.

Frankly, the Bucs should IR him so he can get healthy. They are 0-3, and he's out for the foreseeable future. Why risk his long term health to rush him back for a lost season?

It's six weeks for a typical person, who is an office employee, postal carrier, or ditch digger, but I think it's a little longer for an athlete. He could be out for the season, especially considering he was in critical condition at the time he arrived at the hospital.

it looked like chris really took a couple hard licks in that carolina game..
