Look around the league, the WR screen is all of a sudden a very common play.
Skins vs. Texans MVPMTK 09-25-2006, 02:48 PM Look around the league, the WR screen is all of a sudden a very common play. Hog1 09-25-2006, 02:50 PM http://www.coco-palms.com/photos/brochure/shuffleboard.jpg I live in SW Florida, and I can positvely identify this pic as a "Shuffle Pass" . More specifically, it's a "68 chip" shuffle pass (that's Chip with the Shuffle stick) TrustinGibbs 09-25-2006, 02:58 PM I voted O-Line, because they were so horrible the first two weeks but pretty great in this one. Taking nothing away from Portis, Brunnell or Betts who all had stellar games but the fact is they dont get what they got without Samuels, Dockery, Rabach, Thomas and Jansen protecting Brunnell and blowing huge holes in that defense for the backs and recievers to run through. Twilbert07 09-25-2006, 03:15 PM Portis. Not only did he kick start the offense and score twice, him being in there gave Brunell some confidence back. RiggoRules 09-25-2006, 03:17 PM Portis. In addition to run and catch production, he is a major factor in pass protection. Some of the OL improvement has to be credited to #26. diehardskin2982 09-25-2006, 04:07 PM portis brought back a winning swagger to the team but it would be possible if the line didn't block anyone wolfeskins 09-25-2006, 08:49 PM if portis would have dominated and betts would have struggled then i would vote portis but seeing as how both of them dominated the o-line has to be given the credit. on almost every run the tv announcers were pointing out great blocks from the o-line. penalties happen all the time , sometimes they get called ,sometimes they don't. portis also had a knucklehead penalty that cost the team 15 yards. That Guy 09-26-2006, 02:01 PM portis, portis, and portis... and a little betts, but mainly portis. dmek25 09-26-2006, 02:16 PM its amazing how much one player changes a teams outlook. is anyone still bitching about the portis trade now? That Guy 09-26-2006, 02:19 PM its amazing how much one player changes a teams outlook. is anyone still bitching about the portis trade now? honestly, for champ's rep around the league, the local fans weren't very upset to see him go. I just remember him conveniently "tripping" every time i saw someone get a step on him. |
